Thank you. 😊
Goodness you have taken me down memory lane, I last made this kind of buttons for my son's cloths when he was born. Lovely video. Thank you.
Thanks so much for your lovely message. I hadn't made Dorset Buttons for ages. I forgot how much I enjoyed the process.
I love the tree button I have seen them in macrame and thought I couldn't do it. but your direction look better. I love all the buttons and all your videos. Thank you so much
This video is so informative and easy to follow. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
Hermosaaaaa quedó !!!! Gran labor y creatividad !!!! Graciasss😊🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for doing this, love learning new techniques and uses for each.
Thanks so much. It's a pleasure- I really enjoyed making this video. I am a thread butterfly really - I love having a go at a billion different techniques so this page was perfect for me.
This was an exciting video for me. The covered buttons are my favourite. Seeing them completed brought back lovely memories of similar buttons my mother had in her sewing basket. I think that creating a sampler page is a great idea. It provides an opportunity to learn new stitches and present them in a way that protects them and keeps them safe. A book format becomes a handy reference tool and something to admire. I would like to make such a page showcasing the stitches you have demonstrated. I have never made Dorset buttons but would love to try. Thank you so much for stimulating my interest and sharing new techniques through your video. It is much appreciated.
Thanks so much for your lovely message. I am so glad you enjoyed the video and feel inspired. I really enjoyed making this page, it's nice to just play sometimes and see what happens. I hope you have a go at some of the techniques. Do send pictures of your creations. I would love to see your versions.
I was thinking the same thing, I have started making myself Victorian clothes and have a book of fabrics that I have bought to keep a record, but having a book of buttons would be a great idea as I’m making my own buttons , like the Dorset button, but I also make buttons from seed beads, but I’m looking at making my own resin buttons as well, this way I can also keep a record of what were used and where I sourced them from.
YeeaaHH!! Fun garantied
Brilliant, my favourite is the tree. Looking forward to doing this one 💜
I love the tree too. Looking forward to seeing your versions.
What a lovely video! I really enjoyed it. I saw a death's head button video recently and thought how striking they were - they were frequently used on men's clothing in the 18th century and the man in the video was making authentic clothing from the period. I love your Dorset buttons - the scalloped edged one, the little bouquet and the tree - so pretty! I am looking forward to exploring some more of your videos. Thanks for sharing an excellent tutorial!
PS After a really quick visit to your channel, new subbie! So many fun techniques to explore!
Lovely work. Button forms can be found at Gina B Silkworks and she's from the UK too :D
I love Gina B Silkworks! If I made buttons more often, she would be my go-to and she is based in Lincolnshire too! Thanks for watching. 🤗
Sorry to be boring but I like the tree best, too. Tho' the bouquet is cute as well. And the picot. I've got a tiny thin crochet hook that I could use for the fringe. I can't imagine ever crocheting with it.
Not boring. I love the tree button too. Thanks for saying hi! 🤗
