Drop a like if any of this was helpful, it would help me make more videos frequently in the long term
If you have any video ideas you would like to see, let me know
Thanks for a goldmine of useful tips. Some are familiar and used throughout every blender session and some are new. I’ll put them to good use!
@@wpmultimedia Glad you found them useful!
so helpful.. really super helpful. I would love to see more videos like this. My thanks to you !
I’ve been working in the blender for three years, but some of these types was new for me. Thank you very much!
#9 It’s even simpler than that: Just hit the period “.” key (on the NUMpad) with focus on the Outliner to reveal the active object.
The period key works in all the windows. I use it to find anything.
ok the scale cage is awesome
Switching between timeline and graph editor... That's a huge time saver! Thanks.
Thank you Sir! Great collection of timesavers!
Scale cage FTW! That is awesome, used to use add on for that.
Wow, I just stumbled upon your CZcams channel and I'm absolutely blown away! Your content is incredible👍👍
Omg scale cage could have saved me so much time
My tip: 'Alt + Left Click' gives you the option to select an object, if multiple objects are at the same place.
That's actually a great tip, wish I would've included that as well
This video gave me insights way beyond of what was being said. Thank you so much.
Hey, nice tips! I've been using Blender for 15 years, and there were two of these I didn't know about. Subscribed! I look forward to seeing more from you.
Woah! Love your stuff man, you’re one of my favourite blender creators on here. Thanks!
Instead of tilde key if you press dot (.) key on the numberpad that's an even faster to find object in outliner or to go to a frame in graph editor. And shortcut to bind camera is Ctrl + b. And amazing video btw, to the point tons of information packed in a small video, loved it.
Thanks! Yeah, many people pointed that out - I just wasn't aware of this as I don't have a numpad on my keyboard aha
That means you're missing out on front/side/back view by numberpad 1,3, 7 as well, in preference if you go to input and enable emulate numpad then you can use normal number row to do the same thing@@novocai_ne
In-staid of adding all the origin setting options individually, you can add the entire Set Origin menu to quick favorites.
amazing tips !!
thank you very much man
Another cool usability trick I'd like to share: You can use "Ctrl+F" -> "F" to extrude among normals or "Ctrl+E" -> "3" to bridge edge loops, or any number in ascending order. That saved me a lot of time
that's actually really neat, thanks for the tip
I learned a couple of new things and remembered a couple I forgot. 😎 Thanks!
Awesome video! Thank you
Great video. Just want to touch on a few things that might make your workflow even more efficient.
-You can add a Track Constraint even faster by selecting your object and your target, and choose 'track to constraint' in the object menu in the top left corner of your viewport. Add that option to your quick favorites for quicker access. If you're using Blender 27x keybinds you can do the same thing by hitting Ctrl+T.
-It's possible to isolate your objects by hitting 'Numpad /', this is good for editing individual objects in highly populated scenes. Hitting Alt+Numpad/ will remove any selected objects from the isolated view.
-You can set your own shorcuts for virtually any feature by right-clicking and selecting Assign Shortcut. If you're not sure if a keybind is already in use by Blender you can check that in your preferences by going to Keymap and search on the key combination you want to use.
Didn't know these, but I'm definitely using that first one
I've been using Blender for some time yet there were a surprising number of tips I've never heard of! Awesome job man! Thanks for making this video.
If you just rightclick on your object while selected in object mode, there's a point called Set Origin so u can easily Set Origin to Geometry, Geometry to Origin, etc.
Thank youuu so much
really really helphul and yes u earned another subscriber
Very Usefull! Thnx
If you click the shield icon next to your text document’s name, it will persist within the saved .blend file. I like to leave notes for myself or even instructions for other artists who might load the file later. I use that for things like insights into the use of a custom rig, history of the dataset, problems to avoid, or future to-do lists.
Shift+h and alt h works in all the windows and different modes too... If you try in the 3d viewport is solos your geo, and if you're in edit mode it solos what ever you have selected...like planes or vertices etc
Wow ....those are some amazing tips
amazing thank you !
I came here to see a nice tutorial nd found GOLD! Amazing content!!!
You are an Angel of 3D modeling lol
Nah, but really dude those are actually extremely useful tips to use
Now I wonder, how did you get to know them in the first place xD
Nonetheless, thanks for the help!
Surely, they'll get in handy 👏👏
Some great tips here. Thanks 🙏

This was super helpful. Thanks
This was actually incredibly helpful
that was so helpful, really great work thank you
太好了,这是我第一次学到这么多常用的技巧
This video comes handy, thank you!
Dude, I so appreciate you!! I knew some of these, but the drag and snap to objects, and the notes thing! The collections thing, you can use the number pad period as well, it'll snap your viewport to whatever you have selected, works in all windows, shader, viewport, file layers...
Thanks! I don't have a numpad on my keyboard so I don't really know or use any shortcuts with the keypad keys aha
Actually really great tips, awesome!
very useful! thank you! ❣💯
WONDERFUL VIDEO WOW!
wow, very helpful video. definitely deserves more views

Cool ! :O)
Insane bro thanks for all the tips ! can you do a tutorial for how to make this realistic grass, the quality is insane ! (2:30)
Thanks! I made that with a paid addon called graswald, but I could look into making something like that for free or from scratch
1 thousand hours and I'm only finding out about this now...
I've watched hundreds of tutorials AND NO ONE HAS EVER MENTIONED THE SHORTCUT SHIFT+T FOR LIGHTING. why did it take so long for me to find out about that.
How to fast animation player that give a frame per sec 0.13 but that animation was created in 24 fps it really slow when play
hdri folder?) for what just use blender kit
blenderkit hdri's are good, but a lot of the time they don't have the hdri's that im looking for, i have my own collection that i like to quickly go through
Step 1. Get the Gizmodal plugin
7:57 u know the keymap name for this? Cant find it
if you're talking about how to frame all, hold the tilde key (below esc key, looks like this ~) and then that menu will appear
@@novocai_ne Home key should be the default. Works in the 3D Viewport as well.
Sounds like you`re speaking trapped inside a box lol
They got me locked up in a box making tutorials against my will. Send help Immediately
Saving your project is also going to save you time since you don't have to redo everything once your Blender crashes.
setting my auto-save interval to 5 minutes has probably saved me so much time
PowerSave addon is OP, give it a try
The narration could use a little bit more motivation, but otherwise good video.
Once everyone knows how to use Blender well, no one will be paid and have a career from it.
I don’t think so. Even if every person in the world would know how to use Blender effectively, a studio for example would still like to delegate tasks. If a film director needs to make a full length film on his own it would take him way much more time than if he had a whole team for it, even if that director is an expert in Blender.
Things will get easier anyway, no matter if people will learn it or not, look back at the 00's, that was terrible, however modeling is mostly about having artistic vision/sense of beauty/creativity, so tech/workflow tricks are just the tools
@@MegaChriz If your only option to be an employee at a studio, it's already extremely competitive landing a job at one. And if everyone learns 3D, the odds of most people getting a job disappear. So no jobs. Also the value of these jobs go WAY down because everyone can do it, so if you do get a job you'll be struggling
@@Leukick If everyone can do 3D and also wants to do 3D, then yes, I can see that the job's payment will become poor. But when in such situation the payment is very poor, maybe not everyone wants to do it anymore? And then the job's payment needs to become better again. Anyhow, I think that the job's payment would not go down to zero. At least not everywhere in the world.
One way I do would see it go down to zero is if you could model and animate an entire complex scene within just a few minutes - almost by only imagining what the scene should look like. In that case the job could become obsolete. Just like other jobs have become obsolete in the past. But as long it takes many hours to create a full feature film, I think that these hours need to be paid.
If everyone would be able to cook, the would be no restaurants and outside eating
you can also use tau, and e, where you can put, pi. icydk, tau = 2pi, e=euler's number. (like 2.6 ish)
