My uncle actually told us about an encounter he'd had with coyotes recently, where two of them were about to attack their dog (a big lab of all things!), so he shot at them and killed one of them, and severely wounded the other so that it ran away. But since it was late at night, he couldn't follow it to finish it off, but he went out looking for it the following morning expecting it to have died overnight....but he found it still very much alive even with a huge gunshot wound in it, so he shot it again which startled it (and wounded it more) but that *still* didn't kill the thing and it actually started to charge at him until he finally landed a fatal shot on it.
A cornered animal will fight with everything they have, even if it's a losing battle. Leave a potential escape route open to them, however, and they likely won't be as ferocious and could be more inclined to try and flee rather than fight.

He did use a lot of his power against ssg goku. It is not that he lied, his power was just retconned along the way of the show when they realized what direction they wanted to take this show. His power is pushed up many times during the series😂

@@justinbryan6249 yeah, that was a retcon because when Beerus was first introduced in the BoG movie Toriyama himself stated that Ssg Goku was at 60% of Beerus's power. Super got rid of some lines from the movies so Beerus could be stronger in the series.

When vegeta goes mad he surpasses goku. Saiyan rage brings up their true power out. Beerus however closely observed him as he wanted to find ssj god.

@@vasil417 There's really no way MUI is weaker than Beerus, given that Jiren is stronger than Belmod, and Belmod wasn't significantly weaker than Beerus. Just through logical consistency, Goku has to be on par with Beerus now.
MUI Goku might be a few million times stronger than SSJ3 Goku. So Beerus is using like 0.000001% of his power here. It's absurd.

thing is beerus's true power has been retconned many times as the story progressed to keep vegeta and goku below him, like we all thought mui would surpass beerus but the new manga chapters just retconned his power again and made him even stronger
Piccolo has never been scared of Vegeta’s power level. He definitely maxed out Super Saiyan 2 with his rage transformation.

Also, No one noticed there was anything unusual about Beerus for two major reasons: one is the Dragon Ball version of Earth actually has a drug that humans can take to essentially become a biological furry, basically human bodies with animal heads and fur. The ruler of their Earth is actually a bipedal dog. So seeing someone who looks like a human sized cat on two legs isn't unusual for them. Also, you probably missed/don't remember this, but Goku specifically mentioned that he can't sense Beerus at all. It's an established ability that all of Goku's martial artist friends can sense life energy, otherwise known as ki. Typically if you can't sense someone's ki, it means that they're VERY weak, or are so good at hiding it that you can't sense it at all. But Beerus has something called God Ki, which can't be sensed by mortal creatures, with the exception of Dende because being the Earth's guardian gives him the ability to sense things even people like Goku can't. So they all probably thought that Beerus was just some guy that Vegeta knew from his days working under Freeza who also wasn't a threat to anyone because they couldn't sense anything from him.

What i wonder about this: Piccolo fused himself with Kami, who was the former God of Earth. So why can't he sense his KI?
@@Anthyrion He definitely used to have this ability to some extent, which is why he freaked out when he senses the Supreme Kai's ki during the World Martial Arts Tournament back in the Buu saga. I think that either the writer for Super forgot he had this ability, or he simply lost the ability to use it since then somehow.
@@MoostachedSaiyanPrince I think they forgot it. Toriyama has a habit forgetting details in his series, but fans usually remember small details. Launch and the Surpreme Kai are the best example for that.

Well we know beerus is very forgetful with him not being able to remember a simple name he dreamt about so he probably forgot about the existence of super dragon balls since it would of been who knows how long since they've been brought up. Heck it could just be the case that he didn't know about the super dragonballs till the TOP.
Actually Beerus didn't know about the dragon balls or super dragon balls because he's never heard of them, until someone told him about them. He only knows of planet Namek's wish orbs (dragon balls).

The music also suffered from the scheduling issues in early super so some of it may feel out of place, but people mostly complained about the artwork and animation. They went back and re-did the artwork later.

The Cell & Buu sagas may have been when Vegeta first came to realize that he cared for Bulma & Trunks, but this moment when Beerus backhanded Bulma is definitive proof that Vegeta would overcome anything for his family - especially a trauma so deeply rooted in his psyche that prevented him from moving a muscle.
Keep in mind that Beerus - temperamental Capital “G” Destroyer God that he is - has ABSOLUTE control over his strength; the fact that Vegeta managed to use his momentum to even just push Beerus around means that he loves Bulma enough to NATURALLY peak back up to his Babidi-boosted “Majin Vegeta” power levels in one go - if not just outright doing everything to surpass that level of power without transforming into a Super Saiyan 3.
I’m sure you have some guesses as to what’ll happen in the next few episodes (no spoilers from me!), but let me just say in advance that the requirements to become a red-haired Super Saiyan God are NOT easy. Effectively, only 5 to 8 characters in the entire franchise - “non-canon” content & games included - ever manage to unlock the transformation. (The exact number depends on how clearly you want to define the number of people that manage it; I’d happily clarify for anyone who asks.)

@@humanman9920 The concept of limit-breaking is more “overcoming limits and/or blocks” than it is “stopping huge energy blast from an overpowered enemy”. Vegeta DOES power up for his family now - case in point being this arc & the tournament of power arc. It’s all about motivation.
Besides - even if it was said as a joke later in series, I know that you know what Whis says about the Saiyans potentially snatching Beerus’ job; It doesn’t happen during this arc specifically, but the guys have the potential to reach comparable levels of power.

You might be wondering why, out of all of Earth's defenders, *Dende* is the only one who's able to sense the 'strange energy' Beerus is putting out.
Something very similar happened in DBZ, when Piccolo met Supreme Kai at the World Tournament, and started freaking out because his 'Kami' side was able to sense the guy's true nature.
*TL;DR* - 'Divine energy' is totally different from regular energy, and you can't sense it at all unless you are (or have been) part of the Dragon Ball universe's official God hierarchy.
