Freiza got cheap with blowing up the planet. If you remember they could blow up planets with ease at a 10,000 power level of the Saiyan saga. Think how quick villains can now pull some cheap shot like that with the god power they have.

I know Goku had the long fight on Namek but the way Frieza enslaved Vegeta, committed genocide to his race, broke him on Namek, and Vegeta even makes reference to it in his Majin speech to Goku at the world tournament (like 10 years after Namek). In my opinion Vegeta’s beef and scars run deeper than Goku
I think this is obvious goku doesn’t hate frieza he enjoys fighting with him he hates frieza’s actions tho but vegeta hates frieza as a being he hates the fact that he was enslaved so vegeta and gokus hatred towards frieza isn’t comparable vegeta hates him on a whole other level

No it's more like Frieza's hate towards Goku is what makes their history more special. Goku's hate towards Frieza is equal to Frieza's hate towards Vegeta: It's not that deep. But Frieza hate towards Goku and and Vegeta's hate towards Frieza are the same.

SSj Goku won against Full Power Frieza without even needing to kill him in the end. And no, Frieza trying to cheap shot Goku with a blast after being cut below the waist before getting most of his body blown up DOESN'T COUNT.

@@kacarrot3139 Who the fuck cares if he didn't kill Frieza! Vegeta still got a win! Killing your opponent isn't necessarily winning a 1v1 fight. Goku could've killed him back on Namek anytime as a Super Saiyan, but didn't. He still bested Frieza at full power and won.

One thing to remember is that Goku's naivety is a double-edged sword. It can land him in tight spots, but if Goku was not the forgiving type, he'd never have let Vegeta go when he originally invaded Earth in the DBZ Saiyan Saga. Then Vegeta wouldn't be here to step in.

Exactly, even toriyama don't like vegeta characters so he decided to steel vegeta kill and gave it to goku. Atleast vegeta deserve this opportunity to kill freeza but toriyama does what he want. I feel sad for my boy vegeta. Vegeta will be my favourite character forever 💖

@@wizard_guru8035 He actually did say he didn't like Vegeta too much. There are some reasons why Vegeta is still here. Toriyama first wanted to get rid of him during the Saiyan Arc, but popularity polls and his character were what had Toriyama keep him in. He doesn't hate Vegeta beyond that. Vegeta is useful to the plot of DB, so Toriyama keeps him around. But maybe the dislike for Vegeta kinda influences how he takes L's in the manga and show.

Toriyama likes Goku as the hero more than he likes Vegeta "as the hero." He's said multiple times "Piccolo is my favourite character" (when he remembers to forget that Gohan, Goku, and Launch were his favourite characters).

Remember Namek? Everytime Goku had shown mercy on an opponent, Vegeta stepped in and landed the killing blow. Mostly for the Ginyu Force. Here it's the same thing. Goku naivly showed mercy on Frieza but let his guard down so Vegeta had to step in, except this time Goku had to kill Frieza because Vegeta is always to cocky and wants to humiliate his opponent before he kills him.
That's what vegeta fans like in vegeta character 😂

Vegeta didnt really humiliate frieza honestly. He needed to damage frieza more to ensure the kill would happen and then was legit about to kill him

@@carnagez1993 He did get killed by him technically. But there was a point to both Goku and Vegeta's loss here. Goku is too forgiving and relaxed and Vegeta is still too over confidant which cased them both to drop their guards
The sound design in this episode is absolutely phenomenal. I didn't remember it the first time i'm watching super.
When you really think about it
it wasn't only them and frieza that survived that explosion,
it's a possibility that Buu could of also survived even if he was asleep,
remember how kid buu shot a planet burst attack towards the earth that could destroy it 10x over?
He regenerated from that explosion really fast.
Sure Majin Buu is weaker than Kid Buu, but I still believe he could of survived the destruction of earth.

One down side of the movie is that you dont see the earth explosion from chichi, trunks and the others point of view. In this episode they nailed it with some emotions
It's kinda implied and pointless cause of how fast it is in the movie before everything gets fixed
Vegeta was only able to dominate Frieza since Goku already weakened and exploit Frieza's weakness which is he is not yet used to his Golden Frieza form and also because he do the job quickly while Goku wants to enjoy the fight and take it easy first before finishing it.
Yeah. It's funny how some people seem to forget that Frieza was already finished before Vegeta even stepped in. He's given so much credit to Vegeta here, when it was really Goku who weakened Frieza to the point that Vegeta could dominate him like that. But it was cool to see ruthless Vegeta anyway.

When I really think about it, if vegeta fought, first, vegeta would have probably lost due to his habit of going all out in the beginning of the fight.
To answer your question about how he blew up the planet I think you might be forgetting that they've all been planet breakers power wise since the Frieza Saga in Z. Goku and Vegeta were already at that level in the Saiyan Saga. Blowing up earth is as easy as breathing for any of them.
And yeah like I said Goku never learns his lesson.

I like Resurrection F version better than the episode where it doesn't show what Goku is preparing to do against Frieza, though Goku's instant transformation to blue was amazing.

You have to give props to these guys for setting the OSTs so perfectly. That earth's destruction OST was so chilling, the increasing notes perfectly syncing with the complete destruction of the planet and then the utter silence. Just amazing.

Also, Vegeta is one of Toriyama's favorite, there's a weird myth about him hating him despite him saying the opposite, maybe that myth started when Toriyama said that he killed Vegeta because people asked him to not kill him lol. At the Cell's arc he said he was his fifth favorite warrior, and for battle of gods he stated that in the next movie he wanted Vegeta to be the main focus (which didn't happen, but that explains why this fight happened.)

Actually he would be able to. But not because he can survive a planet explosion. It would be because he can breath in space like Frieza. anybody stronger than Z Frieza and can breath in space can survive a planet explosion those who can't breath die of suffocation.

@@Guac_Amole you appear to forget that he literally just blew himself up. He's probably 90% dust 1% power, meanwhile Buu would be completely fine, at full power, and his full power was enough to mildly challenge ssj3.
Goku and vegeta's difference in fighting style and attitude would led them in unlocking different forms from each other rather than having the same form later on the series and much later in manga

It’s interesting when u think about. We know goku’s fatal flaw got him in the end but it seems that even with vegeta being as ruthless as he is, he couldn’t clutch the win. I suppose it could have been his pride in letting frieza suffer because technically he could have just blitzed him to the very end and leaving him no time to rest.
To be fair though the gap for frieza to rest was very short anyways, he had just lost his power and crumbled to his knees. I don’t really see how he was able to go through with it completely like that, I guess vegeta was just too startled by what was going on
@@cameroncurtis2135 that’s true. Also one thing that was always sorta confusing for me is exactly how much power it takes to destroy a planet. Everyone in this fight by now has far and wide exceeded that limit but apparently all all it takes is a powerful wave of energy directed at a planet. a amount that frieza would basically always have even at his most tiring moment. Sorta like how a human ever after doing a full workout and being tired as heck has plenty of energy to squash a bug or something like that. But yea vegeta was definitely startled I think as was everyone else

It becomes much clearer how they don't blow up planets mid fight if you remember what piccolo said about them exploding the blast and spreading it out before it goes through the planet to not destroy the planet and the fact that the reason they die when a planet explodes is because they can't breath in space and not because they can't survive the explosion.
