Very well explained. Thank you. After ENDOLASER VR surgery in my right eye I am having problems with IOP in both eyes and visual acuity (smoky, blurry) in my right eye. I can't see text in books, 3 mm thick 1,5 cm letters are blurry at reading distance. Distant vision is hazy and blurry. Dr. (retina specialist) suggested cataract surgery. Dr. (glaucoma specialist) prescribed Simbrinza for RE and Lupitros-z for both eyes. My right eye is red and sometimes itchy. Lupitros-z is not comfortable for me. I see intense fog and blur in front of light and sunlight. Your valuable suggestions are humbly requested.

After retina surgery & silicon oil removal, complicated cataract has been developed in my eye. To treat this doctor has advised for Phacoemulsification & foldable IOL (Aspheric) implantation. But there is confusion regarding which lens to opt for between Indian & imported lens and between ultra uv filter lens & without uv filter lens. Please guide as surgery is scheduled on this week.

Sir my son aged 11 yrs had faced retinal detachment and underwent surgery with silicon oil injunction on 27 March after 7 months on 17 oct he underwent sor and gas inducted in eye...
My sone have high myopia and he don't have full vision before surgery with the help of specs also now with silicon oil he recovered almost before RD vision..
My question is that as a high myopia how mtch chances are there for redetechment and when can it can ocures...

Is it possible of vision change with silicon oil and after SOR
Chances of retinal detachment are always there approx 5-10 percent chances. It is possible to undergo ICL after number stabilises around 18-20 yrs age. But there are chances of RD (5-10 %) after ICL surgery also. Vision usually improves after SOR once gas absorbs (approx 6-8 weeks)

What you are experiencing is called metamorphopsia. This happens due to slight misalignment of photoreceptor cells. May take up to a year to normalize. Still it may not be perfect as retina is a very sensitive structure. All the best for good recovery

Yes this may happen. It's called metamorphopsia. Usually it may take upto a year to get better

Dr, my friend had retina detachment and did not realize it until cataract started to form. The retina specialists are saying it is over 6 months old. Can you guide what should be the next steps?
Given the retina dr is saying only 20% chances of successful surgery, should we still do a surgery or leave it as it is?
Please go for surgery as it will save the eye atleast. Vision chances no on e can predict.

Usually nothing happens. But no surgeon can give you 100 % guarantee. If gas is put then vision may take 4-6 weeks to come

My husband have operation of cataract surgery after removing bandages he seen the images clearly after one day he feel only lights not images the dr told that infection happend in the lens acculex by tass suddenly the dr done operation of ratina and apply silicon oil the dr has not given assurance of eye vision if circulation of blood is happend in the eye the vision is guaranteed other wise not in this position what can i do please sugest

I have made Retina detachment operation on 13 Jan 2023 thru Gas Bubble and now it has completed 2 months. Now I can see properly - but have still gas at bottom of eye in 15 to20% as well can in left eye properly (same size but in operated eye the size I see is 50% of original size.
When I can the object in it full size?

I want to know that if haif portion of Retina has dammaged, no veins are available on that half portion. so that I can see by only half portion of eye, My question is that, Is it possible to develop new veins on that portion?Can be regenerated Damaged portion ? मेरा बेटा 8 साल का है।अप्रैल 2022 में आंख में चोट लगने के कारण 2 Oct 2022 को Ratina Detatchment का पता चला।15.10.2022 को AIIMS DELHI में RRD, Ratinal Dialysis on 7'o Clock, 1 break& 2 Thining Area above ratinal Dialysis, का Surgery Scelar Buckling और Cryopexy के द्वारा हुआ।20.10.2022 को Follow up में Dr. साहब के द्वारा बताया गया कि Ratinal Dialysis के स्थान पर Shallow ratinal fluid दिखाई दे रहा है।25 अक्टूबर तक इंतजार करें यदि Shallow ratinal fluid खत्म हो जाता है तो कोई बात नहीं, अन्यथा लेजर करना पड़ेगा।
Shallow ratinal fluid को खत्म होने में कितना समय लगता है?

There is more risk of infection than normal cases. Ideally both eyes should be patent

I had retina surgery yesterday only at Bombay at 65000/-. Dr suggested atleast 8 to 10 days rest with face down. I remain 15 hours face down. Silicon oil is put in my eye. I was almost blind by RE. The very next day after opening the safety cap my vision immediately improved by 25%. My question is whether 100 percent recovery possible. I am late by atleast 2 year for surgery. Secondly when silicon oil can be removed. RS mishra

Doctor my retina left eye got detached on 29th July 22, due to COVID positive my surgery got delayed and Done on 19th August 22 vitronomy and cataract surgery together. Due to high cost and financial problems i got my silicon oil removal at Goa Medical college hospital by retina specialist on 16th Nov 22. So how long will it take to regain my eyesight. Very low vision in LCA is difficult to check. Sometimes we use VEP test to give an idea
