Can I replace the SCI with SLSA?

SLSA has a different active surfactant matter and doesn’t react the same to coco Betaine. But I always say try it (a small batch) and see if you like how it ends up, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it though.

What about alkaline water??

To make this formula? You want to stick to deionized or distilled water only. Water has minerals added to make it better for us to drink but the things added to water can interact with ingredients and preservatives making them ineffective or less effective. Which is not safe. Also because alkaline water is well alkaline (high pH) that’s not good for the skin.
