- Come along for my first full day in India. We are landing in the capital city of New Delhi, but take a day trip to Agra, India to see the beautiful Taj Mahal, making this my third world wonder that I've traveled to! On or first day, we figure out where to eat in India, we share where to stay in Delhi, and overall my thoughts on India for just my first day being in country!
There was so much about what to expect in India, that I didn't read or hear about, but going and seeing first hand has been nothing short of an adventure!

Welcome to India! In case you plan on visiting the state of GUJARAT, all guide books are outdated, so here are some things to see:
1. Statue of Unity (tallest statue in the world) near Vadodara
2. Gir National Park (The only natural habitat of the Asiatic Lion)
3. Akshardham Temple in Gandhinagar, close to Ahmedabad
4. Modhera Sun Temple close to Ahmedabad
5. Rann of Kutch: Rann Utsav Festival (Oct. to Feb.) is amazing!
6. Sabarmati Ashram of Mahatma Gandhi in Ahmedabad
7. Lakshmi Vilas Palace in Vadodara
8. Somnath
9. Dwarka
10. Diu
11. Rani Ki Vav
12. Surat Diamond Bourse (largest office building in the world)
13. Narendra Modi Stadium (largest stadium in the world)
14. Manekchowk night market in Ahmedabad
15. Law Garden night market in Ahmedabad
16. Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad (possible sight of 2036 Olympics)
17. Kankaria Lake Recreational Area in Ahmedabad
18. Adalaj Stepwell
19. Hathee Singh Jain Temple in Ahmedabad
20. Ambaji Goddess Temple in Banaskantha District
21. Shatrunjaya Hill temple in Palitana
22. Nilkanth Dham Swaminarayan Temple near Vadodara
23. Saputara Lake
24. Polo Forest
25. Dholavira (ancient city ruins from 3500 BCE)
26. Balasinor Dinosaur Excavation and Museum
27. Science City in Ahmedabad

Many foreign youtubers don't even know about Statue of Unity. After Taj Mahal, second spot should be Statue of Unity in their list.

@@WhelmanKunda just spend some dollars man , people go for pennies and get bad food or accommodation and make all restaurant chains name in vain fr .
Peak summers in Delhi,Agra and Jaipur. Might get a heatstroke. Do not stay in Paharganj. Just spend a few extra dollars and stay in better places and hostels. 5$ can make a HUGE difference in the quality of service
Welcome dear, but this is a bad time to visit India due to extreme climate...
India is not all about Taj Mahal or curry food you can explore more and more new things from west to east north to south my country has a very rich culture with very phenomenon Heritage and legacy
This was literally my first 24 hours, it’s okay for me to experience the Taj Mahal and curry and everything else this country has to offer! 💕

It's Summer time in India so I will recomend u to visit the Mountains
You can keep your goods and chips in lockers available free of cost at Tajmahal. Best time to Visit Tajmahal is during sunrise. Also, i prefer to hire a guide whenever i visit any historical place to learn about it in more detail instead of just put a ✅ on the list of my iternary.
Good tips about the lockers! But I actually preferred to go without a guide I can research it separately but I like to experience it organically, seeing what I want and going where I want!

I bought these chips in Vietnam (I live there) and it was close to $10 USD since I have to buy these type of chips at the export grocery store 😅 I was treating myself to them because I rarely get them.
Random auto/taxi guys ask everyone if they want a ride . Its how they get customers.
I didn’t share all the details, but If 30 men surround/follow you and ask if you want a ride, realistically only one can give you a ride. And even when you say “no thank you” because you already have a ride they continue to surround and follow you…It’s Not a great way to get customers, but I guess.

Instead of taking a hostel , you could have stayed at a hotel.
Hostels are more social and you actually get to know people better both other travelers and local people, which I why I prefer them and they’re more affordable!
Lol don't plan much if you really wanna fall in love with india just accept everything the country throws at you. Dont get busy trying to just control stuff

What was the basis for that m0r0n Shah Jahan to build a monument with white marble in that heat of India - white reflects the most heat, and you can hardly walk in the complex
Visit old temples , beautiful South and North East India, not this overhyped crappy stuff.
