Thanks for tuning in! If I didn't answer a question you had about this floor, let me know. I will add them to this blog post here. diycreators.com/husky-pvc-floor-update/
Great follow up, thanks for posting!
Thanks for following up with all these clarifications. Great video. Hope the floor keeps holding up for you.
Thank for the review and answer ?’s
Just subscribed to your channel. Your work is magnificent! Please project a simple diy slide for toddlers. Thank you.
One thing I was hoping you might touch on. Does sawdust make the floor slick? I was thinking about this in my basement shop (can't do epoxy while I'm also living here due to fumes) so I was thinking about this as a possibility.
These kinds of videos is one of the big reasons why I'm still around Glen, you always show your mistakes (nobodys perfect) and still interact with your audience and give us updates on projects also almost at 3 million congrats.
Pobody’s nerfect*
He more than most, cares about the message, where he combines multiple views and angles to demonstrate the point. He explains without being obtuse or wordy. Lastly I appreciate his text overlays, they help carry the message, they are easy to read, and have decent contrast. Thanks! 💯
Glen is awesome, he’s my motivation to always try and do stuff like this. He’s very inspirational.
A: Your editing and video is excellent
B: Your product testing is excellent
C: Husky need to pay for your hard work!
This has to be one of the most detailed question answering videos I've seen in a long while. Love the examples of being able to see how things roll on the floor and how sawdust gets picked up, instead of just hearing the questions answered.
I appreciate you taking the time to follow up on your impression of the floor after a few months. Very helpful. Also, I appreciate the fact you provided straight forward answers without and stayed on track. Your videos are great, keep it going!
Glen, your channel is amazingly inspiring and detailed. It's clear you care about your viewers getting value from your projects. Great job and keep up the great work!
I throughly admire how you’ve gone in depth to answer questions and concerns while showing it. I also appreciate how you keep it simple but detailed. Great job sir!
Gee, that’s the most detailed review of any garage floor system.
Super impressed with your shop vacuum too!
Your channel is one of my favourites too. Love the use of graphics when you are doing a build video. Logical, neat and great projects.
Thanks again.
And greetings from the south western corner of Australia.
Thanks,
Dude this update video is literally everything I have ever wanted out of any update video. Your editing is fantastic, and the questions asked and answered with video to accompany it is absolutely top notch. This is super good quality content.
I just found your previous installing video on this because me and my husband want to redo our garage. I am amazed at how much time and effort you put into your videos. You go out of your way to do demonstrations for people. I only watched two videos and I’m already going to subscribe. Thank you.
I watched your first tile video and was happy to see this one three months after installation. You do a great job at teaching us non-experts. I'm almost convinced to tile my garage floor. Thanks a lot for your wisdom and experience.
I'm not even looking for a new garage floor, but I still found this fascinating. Very thorough and excellent overview of the product and your experience! Thanks!!
Dude! I never would have thought about many of those questions. But I really appreciate how you took it all in stride and answered everything, with respect and professionalism. Thank you for doing this vid. I will look into getting this for my shop.
Thanks for taking the time to go through your experiences with this flooring system Glen. I'm considering something very similar for my workshop and this has answered several of my questions well.
Dude, you went the extra mile and tested all the questions - you da man! Great 2-part review boss, major props and thanks for sharing 🤘🏼
Oh my ! I love you video! So thought out and precisely explained. I know now what flooring to put in my garage. The 3 months after project is by far better than any other DIY video out there. Thanks so much. I am a retired architect and me and hubby are remodeling our house and I have been watching a lot of how to videos. You need your own home TV show!
This is one of the best and most complete videos I have ever seen! The effort and total areas you covered deserves applause! Really, I'm just amazed. Thank you for ALL your efforts!👍💪💪
What a terrific review. You’ve answered most of the questions I could think of. Might be a solution for my basement
You might need a vapor barrier in a basement depending on how damp it is. Consider going with a straight plank vinyl floor, like LifeProof. It's not that much of a difference in cost and it's going to be way more comfortable than this thing, easier cleanup too.
I would also recommend doing the concrobium fogger treatment of the bare concrete to discourage mold growth. Cheap insurance.
Do you think these types of tiles would hold up OUTDOORS on a patio that get a lot of sun/heat?
I am amazed at the amount of detail you placed into this video, thank you for showing so many possibilities! AMAZING!
This was GREAT! I have been looking at epoxy, polishing the floor, and PVC tiles. This is the best overview of PVC tiles that I have seen. Thank you.
That was amazingly detailed. I'm just waiting for someone to have one more question!
Thank you so much for taking the time to do the "experiments" and post your results.
Love how the floor looks and hopefully you will post an update at the end of a year.
You are welcome!
This is your second video I watched (the first one was placing these tiles).
great job on answering all the questions and I think you are very thorough in making this video. I love all the clips thoroughly explaning all what if scenario's.
I appreciate all the Answers to the questions… I asked a question to someone (not you) and I’m still waiting 6 months later. I always found your videos very informative.
Thanks for taking the time to put this together! Not only did you answer so many questions, you showed the results too! Very cool. Thank you again
This is an amazing follow up. Thank you! I'd be interested to see how it holds up a year from now as well (although you already convinced me to do this to my garage!)
Your combination of explanations and demonstrations is spot on! You are an excellent communicator. Thanks for sharing.
Take a bow. This is by far one of (if not ) the best review I have seen on ANY CZcams video. Very organized, informative, concise, and well done on point demonstrations of every discussed issue. Thank you!
I really appreciate the fact that not only did you answer the questions, but that you tested the questions out too. Jacking up a car for someone just to do it in any part of Florida this time of the year (I live in the Panhandle) will cause you to sweat. So kudos to you.
I don't think I would use this on my floor but I appreciate you putting it there as an option. You are very thorough and I appreciate your attention to detail in your video on the installation and the few months later update. REALLY nice!
Why wouldn't you use it? What are your drawbacks?
I just found your installation video and then moved over to this one. I think you've done an EXCELLENT job with these. Especially the question and answer video. I'm a carpenter that has a excellent reputation. It hurts and angers me to see all the shoddy work in the trades now. I honestly feel that you have put out the one of the best instructional videos I have ever seen. My compliments to you.
Big thumbs up to follow up videos. Most things look good when they are first installed but seeing how they hold up after a few months is invaluable info. Good stuff.
Excellent video. I love seeing post-installation or “post-review” reviews.
Showing the samples along with talking about the answers was really good!
Dude, that was a spectacularly informative video. I’ve been thinking about theses tiles for a while, and your video really, really helped me know how good they are. Much appreciated!
Wow, I watched your installation video this morning and was very impressed with how you did the video and how you did the floor installation. I had a couple of questions that I wrote you in the comments and you answered all of them in this video and more! I also really like the demonstrations and examples that you provided, all very helpful. I also enjoyed your humor that you provided as well. I certainly look forward to seeing more of your videos soon. Ken
What good timing to see these videos! First week of good weather this spring, I plan a major clean-up of my garage, I may very well include doing this. You do a very good job of producing your DIY programs! Thank you.
Had a floor like this for about a year or two in our garage. Easy to install even on an uneven floor, with no issues with winter or summer temperatures.
Used a jack underneath plenty of times too, holds up really well.
Another (and big) reason for not gluing them down is expansion. The plastic expands and contracts with changes of temperature. If you glue it, it will buckle. This is the same reason you need to leave room from the walls on all sides. Great video, I installed a similar product in my garage/workshop. LOVE IT.
What a great completed look, loved added mop board. Looked incomplete before you added that. Thank you for the update, demo while answering questions is a great style. 👍🏻👍🏻For attention to detail
I extremely appreciate that you came back on and told us how it all worked out at a later date....You gold me on this floor and youve done a great job of explaining everything. Something we dont get much of these days.....THANK YOU
This is one of the best post install follow ups/ reviews/ q&a/ test/ demonstration videos I've ever seen for any product. SUBSCRIBED!
Great review, man!
Love how you showed us instead of just talking about it.
Thanks for the update! I am considering installing these tiles in my garage.
A few minutes in, I decided I wasn't interested in this tile, but I stuck around to watch the whole video and liked it just because of how well-detailed it was. FANTASTIC job covering everything you need to know.
Great quality video! Addressed questions in an organized, systematic, clear and succinct manner, with video examples/proof provided to clarify and justify your answers. Husky could use this as a great FAQs for their product. Thanks for taking the time to do this!
Thank you for the update! I am also embarrassed I didn’t try using wd40 to help clean up an oil spill. Thank you for the tip.
Nice looking floor. Thank-you for the level of effort that you went to to answer folks’ questions.
Just found this channel. Watched your video of the initial installation and noticed this 5 month follow up one. Thanks for keeping us updated. Excellent channel and work that you do. Subbed!
Outstanding. Install and creation videos are a dime a dozen. Far fewer follow-up videos. Follow-up with this level of reader-focused answers WITH focused testing examples to support and explain them are almost unheard of. I enjoy your videos. These two assured my support.
I think this might be a better advert for the product than the company’s advert.
I actually expected him to say he was being sponsored by the manufacturers! Double Kudos for remembering to do an update!!
You've done an excellent job gathering and answering questions. I very much liked the original how to and the fact it included a few, 'this is why you don't do it this way', segments.
Great vids!
DIY Creators is the hardest working guy in DIY! These videos are well planned, very thorough and understandable. Plus, most projects are done with cost savings in mind. Great work. Great work ethic. Thanks!
Very impressive that you went through all that time and effort! 👏
Wow I watched the install and liked your content, but the in depth review testing it out for us and answering so much gets the subscribe! I can’t wait to see more of your content
I loved the way you installed that floor. You made it look easy and simple.
This "after" video proves your commitment and dedication. I appreciate you.
The manufacturer should definitely send you some cash for doing these videos. You’ve done an amazing job reviewing this product.
Thanks for the update on this floor and all the illustrations. This was more helpful than just word of mouth. Well done!👍🏾 Hopefully this company sponsored this video. You gave them a very good review.
This guy was awesome. Simple, short, answered questions before we asked and no bullshit!!
I like that you came back to a previous project to show how it is working out! Love your videos.
Nice looking floor. I put down VCT tiles in my garage about 7 years ago here in the north east and they are still holding up nice, was skeptical at first with the cold weather but I never had one come loose
Great to know, John. Ty!
Thx u was helpful also ordering now lol
thanks for the update
You bet
After having a semi-pro do a bad epoxy job on my garage (pro painter, did a great job re-painting all the indoor walls), I was thinking of going with tiling but had so many question. This video answers them all! Thank you!
I really like how you answered most questions with visual references. Well done
Excellent first video and love that you did the follow up. Surprised it was near the same cost as epoxy. I was considering epoxy at one point...but like you said having to go without hot water, and find a place for all my tools... yikes. I could ask them to do it in two halves but I imagine that would add to the cost. Thanks again for the great info
You're awesome! Thanks for sharing the videos on this project. I'm loving these and the other videos on your channel. Did you ever think of using multiple colors to create a pattern or show parking area, etc?
I watched your install video earlier, and am pleased to see your update, and very detailed update. I saw these in a local vehicle workshop recently and thought how good they would be in my own shed, and seeing your video has answered so many questions. A little overkill on the size of the dust pile there tho, haha!... Many thanks for taking the time to do this very in depth review, brilliant, just brilliant!
Thank you for the great install and review of this product. It looks really great and we appreciate all the time you took answering everyone’s questions and testing out different things to the tiles. Really great review! Thanks again. ❣️🍀
i need a father so i watch these building garage and fixing house videos
Watch and read some Jordan Peterson, he’s not a substitute for the love of a father, but he can certainly teach you some of the virtues that fathers are meant to instill in their children. Best wishes
@@BurnoutsAndBourbon That hypocritical druggie? Ewww.
God is the only Father we should want...not that father of all lies (satan)
😇🔥😎😀
Woow, nice one Bro
Thanks 🔥
So many of my questions answered in one video. THANK YOU for this! Loved the install video too. Great job man!!!
Legit probably the greatest follow up video ever made. Thanks so much!
When buying this type of flooring, always get extra just in case. I use the more foamy type in my house and what I have found over the years is the patterns go out of fashion per se quite quickly. The type I covered my basement with, in just 2 years I can no longer find. There are similar ones, but the connecting patterns are incompatible, the patterns are different, the thicknesses are different, etc.
That's a bummer but yes good advice. An optional solution to maintain uniformity would be to create a pattern with the new replacement tiles so the color difference looks intentional, like every 3x3 area has the bottom right tile replaced with the new color, etc.
I actually felt pain when you made the mess, I know the pain of never being able to get a clean floor in the garage. I was thinking of doing diy epoxy but might change to the tiles instead from the info you gave here.
I love that you made a demonstration each of the questions! Top tier 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Wow! Female DIY here, and loving this idea for the husky tiles with my new house/garage that was never finished 20 yrs ago! Thanks for sharing alllll the info, husky owes you!!!
Glen: “I’m not gonna try turning the car wheels over the tiles, it will most likely damage them”
Also Glen, 15 seconds earlier: “Let’s see how this handles heat” **literally tries to set a tile on fire**
Seriously though I love how detailed and thorough you always are, good stuff
Nice personal, honest, real world review. Thank you for doing this.
Clear, concise, addresses my questions and some I should've thought of! Decided to DIY my garage instead of having a paid service do it with poly.
Wow, this is an extremely comprehensive review of this tile floor system. Bravo.
Thanks for all your hard work, detailed video, and responses to questions. Very helpful as I’ve considered installing this flooring.
What a great follow up video. So comprehensive. Tremendous job.
Thanks for the detailed explenations and review. As someone who lives in South Africa and recently bought a home this (and your whole channel) is without a doubt the most inspiring motivation I have seen in a long time!!
Also, I have rented many homes in my life and this solution will go a long way in saving money in the long run. Not only will it save cash on cleaning stains when you need to move to a new premis but you can literally take it with you while retaining the sentimental footprint of each project you worked on :)
Top notch videos!!!!
Great followup to your installation video! I’m really impressed by the demos/testing you did to answers the questions.
You are so thorough. Thanks for doing this for us. Appreciate all your time.
Brother. I stumbled on your video. I thought it was one of the poured sealer scenarios. I’ve used Husky for my workshop. Your tips are awesome. Had not thought about using them for the garage. I’m pumped. You gave me the confidence. Like your style and detailed explanation. Yet you don’t make me as a duffer feel silly. Appreciate your style. Cheers!
Props for the work to answer all these questions! Solid content!
Thank you for the follow up commentary, it is very useful and answers many questions.
You are thorough af. I just installed the black Husky tiles in my garage thanks to your vids. Appreciate your time and all the info!
Glen, you doin' a great job on these videos, and now on the review video. You deserve your big success.
I've watched both videos...well put together and explained. The follow-up video was very comprehensive and answered a lot of questions. Well done.
Thanks for addressing mostly everyone's questions. I liked the stains demo too,
Wow. Very nice, comprehensive Q&A: thorough and well-explained. Hats off to you and your efforts.
U are my new online DIY bestie😂... I move into my house next month and your videos have been soooooo informative and has built up my confidence for going after a few projects!! You're much appreciated!!!
Thank you so much - both videos about the floor were great. I really appreciate your thorough instructions and 2nd video with your honesty about how this floor performs. Our garage floor is a mess! This is very helpful.
Wow, what a comprehensive review! Great presentation. Very impressive. Nice job on responding to the concerns raised. Good luck and many more successful DIY projects.
You totally sold me with this update video, Thanks for doing both videos.
These tiles and your follow up video have swayed me towards installing these tiles instead of an epoxy floor. Thanks again.
Reason why I SUBBED.
Straight to the point.
No BS.
DIdnt have to hear about a product you’re sponsoring. Etc etc. and honest blunt review. Giving the people what they want to hear and what they came for ! GOOD JOB BROTHER!
You're awesome! Not only did you answer every one of my questions, you answered some I didn't even know I had~😁👍 Thank you so much!
