Jack had everything. He was world championship material fr. But he was way too green when they tried it and i think that killed his run. He had the most potential during his "We the people" run but his arrest kinda killed all those plans.
We the People was his moment, I don't know if he would've had a great title reign but he for sure would've been a better fit than compared to how he was in 2010

I'm not one of those people who think he shouldn't have won the World Heavyweight Championship when he did. I think it was a good move that would have worked if he had a better gimmick or improved on his gimmick. The "All American American" character would definitely work better today because WWE focuses more on character/gimmick than just storylines and sometimes wrestling. Hell the gimmick could have worked back in 2013, all you gotta do is have Zeb Colter be a coach like Bob Backland was to Darren Young.

Honestly if they pulled the trigger on Swagger back in 2013, I truly do believe he could’ve been taken seriously as a main eventer, especially with Zeb Colter at his side.
Also, it would’ve made Ziggler’s face turn a lot more believable.

Not decent, he was always really good in the ring. It's his mic work and charisma where he always lacked, Zeb Colter filled that void with "We the People" which was really huge, almost as much as "Rusev day" if y'all remember. Once the Bell rang, he was athletic enough to put great Matches, and out of everyone besides Chad Gable and Jason Jordan, he had the best opportunity to be the next Kurt Angle. They should've have given him a manager to begin with in his ECW days and Swagger himself should've been involved in his character development behind the scenes, based on his early run, it seemed he never got involved with anything backstage, which he should've. As for "We the People", had potential, he fumbled it himself, could've been wayy better.
The "We The People" gimmick was money! That was his moment to sky rocket. Everything before and after that gimmick has been trash.

Jack Swagger had the the in ring ability and aura around him to become a main eventer but since his cash in his charisma was gone and replaced this generic gimmick. I remember his insufferable bully jock gimmick but he was so green with his charisma. I can see why Cena didn't put him over.
He's We The People run had great potential and was the right man to dethrone Del Rio for the World Heavyweight championship but off field scandals ultimately ruined his push and was stuck in mid card hell, never to get close to the main event ever again. He never really formed a proper character and improved on his charisma to get fans over. Jack Swagger is "What could have been" wrestler had he improved on his character and charisma though his in ring ability is undeniable.
Swaggerless Jack, man WWE tried their best to draw blood from a stone and get this dude to the main event but he had the personality of a block of wood and it just didn't work. It's why he'll be a forever lackey in AEW as well.

His ECW reign was respectable, his World Title reign was trash, his US title reign was trash. His best redemption should have been beating Del Rio but he RVD'd that one, too bad. I did like his inring work, he at least should have been a multiple time US Champ, he could/should have had good runs as face/heel with that title.
