Yessir! I'm currently working construction in a small town in the North East. About to spend the winter making one of these bad boys. Only thing I need now is to find a trailer to purchase. I will most likely do a 6X12 with atleast a 6'3" interior height.

Could you also make a video on permits,temporary permits, setting up your llc, do you get taxes as an s-corp, type and amount of insurance for you and employees, how you pay yourself, and maybe how much you started making your first few months vs now , and anything else business wise that you wish you knew when you started?

Just binged a few of your videos and the price break down makes this seem very straightforward for me to decide on building a food truck for my parents. I'm a metal stud framer and drywall hanger by trade so something like this definitely seems doable for me.

I advise you to check with your local guidelines for your build. This can be a big cost if your area requires ALOT. Small rural areas have little to no restrictions on food trucks when big city's could require a brick and mortar/commissary building before you can have a food truck or trailer. This can big a big cost factor, monthly.........what kind of food you are serving plays a roll too.
One thing no one told me before I got into this was getting my name out there is harder than building a mobile restaurant. Build your name first. Start small.

Hi I’m in the state of Washington and one of the things that we are being required is that a commissary location for food trucks is there a way that we can bypass this if we’re only wanting to sell simple burritos and tacos
This is wonderful information! My son is 12 years old, and he started a lemonade business when he was 8 years old. His business has grown tremendously, and we could be more excited to take our next step...To become mobile! It would make life so much easier. We are going through a loan prep class to make this next step happen and I was using your spreadsheet to as a guide to list our expenses, however, It saying that I need access and to request it. Not sure what happened but I haven't been able to open it back up. Are there any options to get it another way?

I have the Clover machine its ok nothing to brag about, I would look into something handheld like like the clocer but with an extra screen where customers can add tips without you handing the machine over

I use clover flex the small handheld machine, not my favorite. If I had to restart I would use square maybe where the customer can have a little screen on the opposite side so they can tip and such

depending on what you want to do, find where you want to work and a parking space. I don't have a specific spot I park and focus mostly on caterings

How much was the good and ANSL system? Together mine was around $5,000 and was definitely the most expensive part.
Thats about right give or take a couple hundred. Yes it is pretty pricey but needed. Hey its better than a restaurant setup where you need a makeup air system

How Frank, what’s the average cost to wire a food truck by a professional and what’s the average to DIY it yourself?
Well DIY is just material cost and some free time to put it all together I would say someone would charge about 1,500 ish.
Do you think rolled ice cream is a good idea on a food truck?
It is possible for sure. However it can get tricky with all the temperature control
I have a food truck and does all the walls need to be stainless steel metal. I'm Pennsylvania.?
Doesn't all have to be but in the long run it's the best option. I would never build a truck that doesn't have stainless steel wall personally speaking

In 2023 the cheapest I have found for a 7x12 is $5600... Is that too much? It's just the shell but it does come from a dealership bc Facebook Marketplace only seems to have the already built ones and they are selling way more than 10K which is not what I can afford

Depends on a lot of small things. The cooking equipment needed what kind of fridge needed. But just bare not tables equipment installed about mid 20s

Apart from the trailer cost it is another 10-20k for sure. If it's a full kitchen
@@fbaltierrez oh so you mean minus the original trailer price i thought you meant in fees, permits, and such after the kitchen was built! so whats the total roughly on your excat build because what im gonna be building is something similar to yours give or take a few things mine will more than likely be smaller depending on the cost of the trailer i was thinking a 12ft by 8.5ft trailer but if its not to much more expensive ill get your size it all depends what i come across but im basically building a similar lay out so i wanna know what the total would be roughly
How many hours or your time do you think it took you to build the Food Trailer?
Good question, I haven't kept track of that in complete detail but if I had to guess I would say that in 1.5 months you can get one done if you work on it interrupted in that time if you know all the materials you need and order promptly
3 years ago I made a $7800 investment and built my mobile BBQ trailer "Tilley's Stick Burner BBQ " 👍...... with inflation I would say that same investment would be about $11,000 now.
