Evolution of Mine Cart Levels in Donkey Kong Country Games (1994-2018)

- This video shows all of the mine cart stages in the Donkey Kong Country Series (home console versions). This covers Donkey Kong Country 1, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, Donkey Kong Country Returns & Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Even though they aren't necessarily mine carts, I included the Toboggan levels from DKC3 because they are the same type of level. Below are time stamps for each game.
This channel features transformative & instructional video game guides, walkthroughs, speedruns & many other unique video creations. I love the saw mill level in DKC Tropical Freeze. It's so creative.
But is so imposible get the puzzles in the level because the saws are everywhere and is recomendable wait a enemy and jump and sometimes used the protector
Country returns has the most intense levels, but tropical freeze's visuals 😱
nah man, some of the DKCTF were REALLY intense (meltdown mayhem, frantic fields, crumbling caverns, panicky paddles)

DKC 1, 2 and 3 are very iconic and nostalgic, but we have admit: DKC Returns and Tropical Freeze have the most creative level designs here!
If Universial Studios is planning on having a ride based of this...I go with no doubt....been a big fan of DK since the 90s.

obviously you go "ow", get transported inside a floating barrel, and you're trapped in there until someone from the next ride unlocks you
And then the machinery fucks up, causing everything to start falling off or flying everywhere, and you just go DK mode.

Donkey Kong Country Returns seemed to have the most wild and intense mine carts levels. Tropical Freeze almost went there with Sawmill Thrill though..

They certainly do. Just look at the gambling houses in the Pokémon series. Though they seem to have done away with it as it wasn’t included in ORAS.

Even though DKC2 is my favorite, I wasn't the biggest fan of the "mine cart" levels since every one of them had some other gimmick tied to it. I like the classic "survive the ride" like on the 1st one.

The video show again that Return has a really creative level design, like Tropical Freeze. The only thing better in Tropical Freeze is that it has less classic environnement than Return.

Technically, Donkey Kong Country 2 and Donkey Kong Country 3 don't use mine carts. 2 uses a Skull Cart and 3 uses a Toboggan.

I've never noticed how the front wheel of the minecart in DKC make this weird noise with smokes.
I like how they didn't have one style of mine cart ride - they generally had two; one where the minecart itself could jump, and the other had the Kongs jump out of the cart while the cart kept moving.
Also, why didn't you include Donkey Kong 64's mine cart sections? I know they don't have "Country" in the name, but they're essentially DKC games.

The first one was my all-time favorite level! I played it so much I could probably beat it with my eyes closed! Lol, that’s pretty dramatic, but seriously, I played it a ton 😆

A peculiar thing about DKC3 is that you get a tobogan level in the pipes before the actual snow.
At least I can replace the stresses of real life with the enjoyanle stress of these levels.

Prehistoric Path is the BEST DKC Minecart Level I’ve played. I have yet to play Tropical Freeze though.

Such beautiful games, every single one of them in their own charming way. So sad that nintendo seems to have given up on this series. I don‘t care about rumors of a new 3D Donkey Kong game on the switch, all I wanted would have been a new DKC game in the style of Returns and Tropical Freeze on the Switch. These two really would have deserved a sequel after all the years.

Returns had a little bit too much of these levels. I didn't help either that there were also a number of levels with the rocket that played very similar.
Lord i cant get enough of how much i love dk 2 cart ride, ive just known it for a while and its so amazing.... But how much i hate the ghost one :(
Another title for this could have been Secondhand Anxiety: The Video.
(Keep in mind I do like the minecart levels when I say this) Bombs Away on DKCR is one of the only levels I absolutely hated getting K-O-N-G in. The timings are way too precise, and there’s way too much trial and error. The level as a whole made me hate the controls of the Minecart and how stiff they felt at times. Keep in mind, I like the other minecart levels, and not this one because of its problems!

Theres a Glitch In The 2nd Cart Ride Fron DKC2.
To do it You Dont Have To Kill Any Of The Kremlings. When It Says that you are in position 10th Kill the Kremling and the game will softlock with corrupted sprites on screen.
Warning: this glitch can corrupt your data and delete your save files so be careful.
