A Northwoods Tradition - Muskie, Walleye, Bird Hunting, and Camp Life

- The annual trip to the Upper Peninsula this year was a success for us. We muskie fished, catching some really great fish. Walleye fished catching enough for a classic camp fish fry. Bird hunted, having plenty of shots at grouse and wood cock, and enjoyed relaxed evenings back at camp with family and friends. There's something special about the Northwoods and we hope we capture it in this video. It's about the tradition and making memories that some day you'll look back on as the good times. Enjoy!

This is video is f****** beautiful. That intro was so nostalgic and inviting, and I don't even hunt! I felt like I was there in the memories.
I'm Gabbing thanks Gab, really feel it captures the moments for sure! Getting better with each one
That was very good, thanks
16grouse thank you very much, we really appreciate it!
Amazing video. The combination of aerial, slo-mo, sentimental, and cutting back and forth between fishing and hunting kept the entire video very interesting; I couldn't stop watching. They just keep getting better - keep it up!
Thanks a lot , you know we really appreciate that. Definitely feel we are growing in a big way!
Great video! Perfect way to end this year, showcasing what is most important to all of us.
Thanks a lot John and you definitely get the importance of places like that shared with friends and family!
You really captured grouse camp! It's interesting, my Brittany's will point doodles, but will NOT pick them up. It must have a funny taste. All other game birds they are fine! Thanks for making these! I look forward to all of your content
Thanks a lot Robert! I know a lot of guys that say their dogs do the same, even with doves. Small, delicate feathers perhaps. We appreciate that!
Looks beautiful mate. Keep it up 👍
Really appreciate that!
The videos just keep getting better pal! Awesome to be in the Northwoods, people that have never experienced stuff like this, really do not "get it", but those of us that do really appreciate seeing this!
Thanks a lot Brad, really appreciate it! We definitely try to soak it up while we are there don’t we?
Great video bud.....I grew up hunting and fishing the Fence River and Fence lake country, no better way to experience an October in the UP than hunting ruffed grouse and woodcock over bird dogs, late season walleye fishing and hanging out with family and friends at camp. Those that have never experienced fall and camp life in the UP would never understand how that calls to you for the rest of your life.
That’s awesome Craig, great country and great people.
Looks like a great trip
Thanks a lot, always is. Can’t get enough of that place!
Epic!! World class video with so much fun. Muskie, walleye, upland, and duck you just can’t beat it. Awesome!!
Thanks a lot Jason, nothing like October! Really appreciate it!
Awesome video, I love that time of year! You fished some of my favorite spots! 😂
Hey, really appreciate that and we have a couple more videos we are scheduling for release.
@@Fishcamp great, maybe I will run into ya on the water this fall!
@@daviddykowskifish Sounds good, stay in touch!
Wanted to share this with my grandson... but the participants have such a limited and vulgar vocabulary that won't be possible.
They started with a Gene Hill quote. I wish the video would have matched his class.
Sorry about that Mitch, you’re right, we should’ve cut them as we’ve usually done. Maybe in a few years you can share it as I think it does capture the essence of the Northwoods, maybe just one too many of the cuss words though.
Hey Mitch! I’m the filmer and editor of these videos and I’m glad you enjoyed it! I’d love to get you a version that your grandson can watch! Shoot me an email at james@fishcampcreative.com and we’ll get it figured out! Thanks for the support!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt the vulgar language degraded the video. Perhaps you could simply release a better version.
