    So in question #6 the answer implies that an engine coolant temperature sensor is a thermistor, is that true?

      Thanks for the valuable feedback. ECT sensors are NTC sensors, thermistors containing materials that have less resistance as temperature increases. Automotive heating and air conditioning control modules also use ambient and in-cabin NTC sensors to monitor outside and inside air temperature.
