It's time to move to the BT16 format. Because with just weeks away from pre-release, this is going to be the focus for the next 2 weeks! Malomyotismon comes in with some new support cards. Just wanted to give a shoutout to Analog Boy lol, I feel like he's pretty solid in this build, especially with us wanting to get to level 5 and then pop off.
One thing I'd also like to mention is, I'm currently running 2 Mist Barrier and 1 Pandemonium Flame just so we can pop our stuff if need be. Even with 3 cards dedicated to popping our stuff, I still find myself at times where I need something on my board gone to get my Yukio's going for example, and not having a card to actually do this with, so I may be adding something else.
Most of my testing has been with a BT15 version of this deck though, super excited to try the new Malo out!

You can run Analog Boy too! Space is really tight on this particular build and between the tricks to get your tamers out, prioritizing the purple ones were crucial.
I've tried analog but with my luck it was always hitting my options and never a good digimon to choose from. Definitely a solid choice but ratios would need to be changed up.
Music choice for this one is ON POINT
Digimon Digital Card Battle - though I never beat the game, it's one of my favorite games of Digimon to ever play.
@@DIGI-PANDA I admittedly got smacked as a kid by the 2nd VenomMyotismon battle where the dude just fiddles with your deck. "This guy's just straight CHEATING me" I told myself
As a kid, I got to the point where you had to play decks without options but at that point I'd become so reliant on Download Digivolve, I was like "Nah bruh."
Love this deck. I just run more demidevimons cuz I really think he helps a lot cycling through the deck and putting the right pieces in the trash
I do not deny this! I was liking the Gabumons and with the Goblimon it felt really good to have 1 cost digivolutions.

There’s this insane build I found a week ago where it was a yellow base with Bt2 Salamon.
The only level 4 was witchmon and it used Myotismon X, Flame Hellscythe, Keenan, the new Shroudmon option and ex6 Lilithmon
I am intrigued!

However, here’s the recipe.
Eggs: 4xbt3 Upamon
Lv3: 4x Bt16 Ukko, 4x Bt2 Salamon
Lv4: 2x Ex6 Witchmon
Lv 5: 4x each Bt16 Arukenimon and Mummymon, 3x Myotismon Ace, 1x Myotismon X
Lv 6: 4x Bt16 Malomyotismon, 2x Ex6 Lilithmon.
Tamers: 3x Arukenimon and Mummymon, 3x Yukio, 1 each of bt2 and st16 Matt, 3x bt13 Keenan
Options: 4 Mist M.B., 3x Flame Hellscythe, 1x Chaos Degradation, 3x bt16 Thunderflame crusher
The person who made it also did an anti meta MarineAngemon deck for bt16

I'll need to try out this deck. I do pretty well with rng based decks.
Purple tends to lean that way but this deck has been super fun!
Follow up - now with physical cards, there's a much better opportunity to test the deck now.
In regards to the Arukenimon/Mummymon engine, While you can play tamers, I do feel that flood gates can pose a problem. That being said, they aren't too commonly played right now. Speed wise, it sets up faster than this version of the deck that I had previously tested but I do think that it is more delicate in that if you misplay, it can very much cost you the game.
In some discord groups, my list was defined as the easier version. I'll take what I can get though XD
A neat idea that popped up in my head just now is to try some of the BT7 lopmon line with trashing and recurring tamers?

Would Ruin Mode be a good replacement for Zwart Defeat? I was also thinking about Apocalymon, since you can evo over your level 6s, slide in your VenomMyotis or BT8 Malo to trigger their on plays and effectively mill your opponent, pressuring them to respond to it the next turn, otherwise, you can keep sliding in more 6s, and effectively mill them even more each turn
You could! I personally don't bank on the level 7's because of how they become trash fodder. With Ruin Mode it's also a good option because you can Wisdom training it and it's end of attack can fill your trash with Myotismon Digimon. With Zwart Defeat it was mainly the free body generation value that I was going for.
if you would run the arukeni/mummy engine what would that look like ? they look too cool to pass on😭
So I have read in recent rulings that if you delete 2 copies of Arukenimon and Mummymon, you reduce the total play cost by 6. However, you're still spending time playing these tamers and there are very limited ways to cheat the tamer out.
Personally, I think in the time it takes you to set up 2 of these to cheat out Arukenimon or Mummymon, your opponent's already blasted a few of your security. In addition, it doesn't synergize well to me with the BT8 cards.
I run bakemon instead of dobermon. The retaliation inherited plus the blocker in myotismon ace works wonders.
Very valid! My reasoning for Dober was to give another target for Gabumon X.

@@kartoffelnpommesgut 100% agree. I try and frame these deck profiles as avenues of exploration for deck profiles. They aren't perfect and have lots of room to grow.

I like the dark animal digivolution inheritable from the SangloupMon so i can go into a venom from trash and the dracmon that searched undead and dark animal with the same inheritable
Keep in mind, that Dracmon and Sangloupmon are only viable options with Venommyotismon. As Malomyotismon is a demon lord. Which leads to the question of what else can you do if your top end isn't predominantly Venommyotismon?
@@DIGI-PANDA 4malo and 4venoms not had a problem getting them in the trash. And Yukio is easy enough to get In the trash with the draw1 trash 1 effects
@@Ryzearn I think you have a valid reason to use the Sangloups then. Since I'm only on 2 Venoms, I couldn't justify it.
Myotismon X with this deck would go bonkers.
I really want to play this, but the Arukeni-Mummy engine feels too good to abandon due to how loop-y They are.
The loopiness is fine and all, I just can't justify the costs associated with it. If you want to maintain turn, you have to have a memory fixer, and the Arukenimon/Mummymon tamer out as well. But even then, I think the purpose is to just pass back turn with the level 5. But I wish there was a Malomyotimson or something ACE to go into it (other then Ebonwumon of course) - but then you lose the on deletion effect.
Ok how neccesary is Myotismon Ace REALLY? He boosts this otherwise budget deck with like 30 bucks easily

My only beef with the Ukkomon variant - I think this one does help with the Arukenimon and Mummymon variant because of the extra memory. But in regards to this one. Wouldn't recommend. I like the digivolving aspect and also keeping my 5's all Myotismon to increase the count in the trash.
Ukko is meh with purple imo. cool you can search but now i cannot evo off the ukko from hand and continue my draw and trashing i need. Mummy and arukeni too much memory to give especially with alot of match ups that love the memory. A stack style for Malo can help with control of cards in hand and trash along with memory control.

Ukkomon It's literally the narrative laziness in the story that doesn't work because it's a huge retcon and because it's a pot of greed
Honestly I don't like that the ending has been retconned several times.
