I hope Isaac is doing okay
OK enough to rejoin the band, let's do this Isaac.
He does, few days ago someone passed crossed Isaac and said he looked good 👍
i saw him recently. he was looking strange with a fresh style, so i don't think he's feeling too great
@@dreamtree23424 💀
@@dreamtree23424 how fresh and how strange?
Yeah literally just listened to the opening two chords and I'm immediately aware that this shit is about to be transcendental 😎
This ending is so sad with the knowledge of Isaac leaving the band and having troubles with performing. It being from the perspective of having taken the sunglasses off and losing the confidence makes this version quite emotional. Hope he’s doing better.
this is such a good performance to eat yoghurt to
they actually left kanye out of it
please context 😭😭
@@tatendacalebharawa3390studio recording contains the lyrics “leave Kanye out of this”
Actually amazing comment💀
I love this version of Sunglasses. While I think the album version is better for the album, I love that we have this alternate take that trade sin the originals frenetic anxiety for something more somber and primal.
The single version is also different I like that one a ton also
isaac will suffer and isaac will heal as time goes by. Isaac hope you will be fine and miss you more than ever.
drum mixing is sick in this version
But the bass feels almost non existent >:(
Godspeed You! profile picture!!! Absolutely amazing taste of music you have.
I think the second part is the best part of this song, but this version also gives goosebumps
Yes, the first half is accessible and conventionally catchy.
i'll always love this version of the song
That groove they get into when the bass and drums come in is sooo sick!!
Isaac is such a fucking amazing guitarist. He could easily hang with fucking Lee Ranaldo, David Pejo or Tom Verlaine or whoever, no trouble. I am primally drawn to play with him and learn from him. I am older than his dad.
I really love your group. I hope that bright spark of inspiration does not leave you
This version is so haunting. Just discovered it today. Amazing.
there’s something so incredibly haunting yet beautiful about this song. “and the bite of its blades reminds me of a future that I am in no way part of” cuts deep; literally. the visuals too. life is so alienating in all its beauty.
The end lyrics are so much sadder it's fitting
so happy we have this on video
This is like a completely different song and I'm here for it, though I will admit.. I much prefer the album version, but that's just my punk upbringing taking precedence lol
Oh this is insane and absolutely beautiful
Brilliant touching version
i remember hearing this single for the first time and being absolutely mind blown. Even so, i could not imagine the hights this group would reach
New ending was a treat to hear :)
Absolutely beautiful. Brings me to tears
will toledo
@@times2die hello its me will toledo
@@amoros798 i love your song "basketball shoes"
i am invincible in these sunglasses.
holy shit
Hiii if you’re reading this, you’re so cool and I love you (this is my favorite band) 💛💛💛
You're cool and I love you too :)
BCNR has made me feel si much happier
New part is pure blue balls. All the dopamine woulda rushed out of my body if I saw that live.
This Guys Rule!
We miss you Isaac, hope you okay ♥
🎧▶🎶💫
pitchfork sent me here. i wanna thank the artists as well as the comments. my bloodline will now know BCNR.
They left Kanye out of this.
The only band that didn't play Glasto this year.
WHY DID THEY LEAVE KANYE OUT OF THIS???
context please😭😭
@@tatendacalebharawa3390 listen to the studio version of the song. the lyrics in the second half are “leave kanye out of this”
Where's Geordi's guest guitar solo?
There are lies you tell yourself.
You tell yourself those lies at like, 20, 25, 30... the casiotone numbers.
Then its later.
... and I like my nutribullet.
what a sound that man get outta dat guitar
When is this live
Recorded last year after release of For the first time
@@jens2049 thx👾
Great version but could the engineer have mixed the bass any lower? May as well just ignore the instrument and the simmering tension it brought to the song
A little too much going on for this song,, but still very good. I like the guitar player and his voice.. just a nice sound
Isaac is back?
nope.
This live version was before FTFT
Spanish? Quien es Isaac?
Ahhh ok
@@lluviaysol1673 Isaac era el cantante de la banda y se salio por motivos personales
i so love original, this one is... diferent.. do not like it!
Sax is out of tune
the difference is that slint had no budget, no /mu/ clownbase and no exaggerated sense of self-importance. nor were they trying to fit into a genre or even make a new one.
Damn what did Black Country new road do to you brother?
the difference is that bcnr is way better than slint
self-importance is of course examplified by the vocalist singing about his lowest moments while flat out acknowledging his biggest influence in the lyrics. Of course very self-important things at play here
the slint comparisons are soooo tired like move on. sure they have similarities and bc,nr are clearly inspired by slint but this is like saying nirvana were a lesser pixies.
@@clx_uds wouldn’t go that far though. both are amazing.
