The dire and anxious feeling is one of the only reasons I liked this album. I haven't listened to Ants yet. Will I just straight up not like it then???
this might be my AOTY and the year's barely started lmao its like black midi and daughters meet up with GYBE at the local synagogue to eat a bunch of mushrooms
OMG So refreshing to the ears! The space is just as important as the notes. Love the spaciousness in this. Plus the musicians know what they are doing!
Can’t compare this to Slint, June of 44 and many from those years but glad music keeps sort of alive. There should be something else being done but…it’s not gonna happen. We’re pretty done, we have no legs though we think we’re still walking.
@@redshift912 That went some steps ahead comparing, I just can't even do it. I mentioned those bands because of the former commentator's comment. We're genetically mangled and doomed, the new kids coming are shallow decoys of past humans (best case scenario)...that sounded quite terrible. Sorry not sorry, you know? What can I say?
This first track nearly ruins the hole album... Rest is wonderful, outstanding, experimental, sometimes difficult, sometimes melodic. And I like the Jazz flavour of course.
tbh it takes so long and is really damn repetitive, i like their other work but ive been having trouble getting into this release just cause sitting through that intro is so tiring lol
I prefer this over Ants From Up Here. This sounds more dire and anxious

Really digging this post-Spiderland jazz-punk vibe.
i read this comment for the first time before i knew what Spiderland was. I'm back and i can confirm i do dig the post-spiderland vibe.

@@MilkoOfficialChannel what the fuck are you on about my dude
Great album. I bought it right away. I was waiting for it since Eurosonic 2020 and i'm not disappointed.
February: best album of the year?
Couldn’t agree anymore
Decade ?
Thank you for the great music! Cheers from Japan.
estas bandas dan un giro al rock, demostrando que aún hay mucho por decir en el género
Escucha el album o monolith de squid, quizas te guste y siento que tiene un sonido buenisimo
Sí. Sabelo que si.
what a boogie
this shit sound like if tf2 had a spec ops: the line type storymode
i have no idea what this means, but i love both this album and tf2 so i am inclined to agree.
What did they mean by this

Second song: the band is trying to be the Slint, not good.
