  • Hey everyone, so in today’s video I talk about how it feels to be stuck in the health anxiety cycle. This is something that I’ve been going through for the past two years and many other people who I have spoken to are having the same problem.

I feel like I finally found someone that understands! This is exactly how I am! I’m sorry I know exactly how you feel and how exhausting it is to always worry! It affects your job, your family, and relationship. I’m always worried about my health! I’m always googling . I’m alway at the doctors! The doctor assured me it nothing but I convince myself I do. I just want to be normal !

It’s so awful isn’t it! I’m so sorry that you’re having to go through this too! As you said it affects almost everything and is totally exhausting! I hope that we both get some relief from it some day because it truly is draining!

Cherelle Jordan yes! Everyday is a new worry or new symptom. And you swear you have something but doctors can’t find anything wrong. And it makes you so depressed because you don’t feel normal. My doctor is currently asking another doctor for a second opinion on my file to re assure me that I’m okay but I worry with the “what if this doctor actually finds something” it’s scary to live like this . Mental health is real and many people don’t understand that. My boyfriend try’s to understand but I know he can’t because his mind is not set up like that.

    • @cherellethinks

You’re right, it is so so scary to live like this. And it’s actually really side because I have this awful fear of getting unwell and dying but in the mean time I’m not living life to the fullest since I am always so worried! I think it’s great that your doctor is doing their very best to reassure you. I understand your concerns though, I’ve been through something similar. It is sometimes tricky for our loved ones to understand because I honestly feel that if you haven’t gone through health anxiety yourself it’s a really hard thing to grasp. My loved ones have said to me in the past, “Cherelle, I can’t understand why you can’t just trust your doctors” and I’ve tried to explain what goes on in my head but it’s a real tricky thing to put to words! I really hope you feel better soon and that you can get yourself out of this awful cycle!

@@cherellethinks Overall looks like u have a big fear of cancer since u probably associated cancer to certain death. WHY?? I bet u wouldn't have anxiety if u found out there was a cure tomorrow. Let me just tell you WE all get cancer since the time we are born. Out bodies just know how to kill it because of our immune system. Emotional stress is what brings on cancer ..through our minds...and it is through our minds that can cure us also. And then food..exercise etc. I know many vegans and health nuts that are sick or ILL. Mental emotional stress is what gets them this way.

@@cherellethinks "youre trying to get better" that's your problem. You are 100%%% healthy.. it's you vs you. Don't try so hard and get more stressed. Just accept the symptoms pains dizziness sharp pains and the 1000 of symptoms. Accept them all .. don't work on symptoms. Work on the stresses /anger/forgiveness. Once that's done the body will heal itself. Accept and move on. Your body will produce less symptoms or be gone once u don't show fear. Fear is like gasoline to the fire. Have a nice day beautiful!!

Iv been following your videos over the last six or so weeks. I'm finding then super helpfully. I had a breakdown last year, which spiraled downwards into other issues I got diagnosed with adhd, then tried out different meds, then fell ill with various mild things, then I developed bronchitis, then I felt I was having chronic breathing problems, out on inhalers and steroids, then having awful panic attacks. To and throwing to the docs worried about my breathing issue and over feeling horrible sensations in my body. Felt like I was terminally ill so I couldn't see anybody. Basically went rock bottom with my physical and mental health and list a lit of weight too. I'm defenetly on the road to recovery as iv have and still have ongoing help with it and also my adhd which apparently adders are more like to have problems with health anxiety. I still struggle daily with the health anxiety..I'm very focussed on my chest on off issue for some reason. I have tge brain tools to help now anf journaling helps me with it. Thankyou for your videos..

I'm going through this right now. I actually made a youtube video a while back about anxiety and als/ms and got really freaked out I went through a short period of time "like three weeks" without any worry of a health issue and now its back. It's so hard not to look up symptoms. There are some days where I need to call in sick for work or not go to school because I'm unable to focus and am pacing around the house with my hands on my head worrying about how my body feels. It sucks I hate it so much. I wish I had a clear mind and stopped worrying about getting all these crazy illnesses.

Totally understand where you're coming from with the cycle. So frustrating to feel good for a little while about the resolution of one situation and then have an intrusive thought about another health issue and boom there come the symptoms. For me it's so frustrating because I can't even trust my own eyes and second-guess everything. It's almost like my brain creates high anxiety situations in order to receive the reward neurochemicaly of the feeling of resolution, temporary has it may be. But I think you're doing great chronicling and sharing all your experiences.

Making content on youtube, being creative, going to the beach, and. playing video games/watching tv all help me take my mind off of the health anxiety.

It's always best to check with your doctor first. That being said, anxiety can play a LOT of tricks on you, and cause you to feel many things.
