A very cold and wet visit to Durham on the East coast mainline where we see services from VTEC, Cross Country, First Transpennine Express and freight services.
Although Durham is quite predictable if you visit occasionally, the Freight makes it interesting and despite this it does the film makers great credit for investing time and giving a record of the station complete with the observational info
Great video gradually catching up on your series, nice to see a good array of passenger services, not like the mundane endless freight trains I see here especially if you get caught at a crossing waiting for a freight to pass when U lose count after 130 frt cars. Although some times U luck out when a Via passenger goes thru with renaissance stock (ex Nighstar stock) Cheers
Greg Palmer Thanks very much, hopefully you enjoy the remaining vids that your next to see. I know the freight trains seem endlessly long and yet the passenger trains seem very short given some of the journeys that they have to undertake
The Great Eastern Trainspotter Thanks very much. After the first video at Darlington is uploaded I shall be uploading a video thanking everyone. That shall be followed up by 2 more train vids
Good video mate you always produce good quality have liked and looking forward to the York video

Ive been there before to meet my Stepbrother who lives near Durham. I like Durham. It is a nice City.

Do you know why Virgin operate on east coast trains because I've been wondering
Virgin trains won the east coast franchise
Ok thanks for telling me
Why do the 220 voyagers no longer have name plaques
I wasn't aware that they used to
When they were owned by virgin cross country they had plaques
Ah right Ok
Great video! BTW, why did Virgin Trains come onto the ECML?
They won the bid for the ECML so now they don't have anymore competition for the two busiest lines in the UK
***** I just don't get why they won the bid if Virgin Trains are on the WCML?
The Great Eastern Trainspotter because they want to run services on both railways. Which any train operating can do
***** I think it's weird that Virgin trains operate the ECML and WCML
Is it possible that you could visit Dore station in Sheffield on the MML. Thanks, love your content by the way!!
When I get round to filming on the MML I will gladly go there
