Hello, I have been on finasteride for 5 months now and i am a bit worried about the shedding. I am a diffuse thinner with some recession on the frontal hairline and crown. I first started shedding around the 2 months mark, before that my hairloss completely stopped. For around 2 weeks my hair felt unhealty and it were mostly small and unhealty hairs. After those 2 weeks the feeling of unhealty hair stopped but the shedding continued. It went from small to medium to large hairs around the 4 month mark. Now after 5 months i am still shedding large hairs but my hairline and temples have visible regrowht and i can feel small hairs growing on my whole scalp. Should i be worried and will the shedding continue for long?

I have a question about the cost of a FUT prededure. In the FUT precedure you pay for the amount of grafts you desire to have transplated. So while this concept seems simple in FUE's, when one get's a FUT I run into the question that while one may want or need a certain number of grafts (let's say 1000) the piece of skin that is removed may contain more or less grafts than that. Firstly, how is is established how much skin is needed for this number of grafts? And secondly, are the actual grafts manually counted and if so, then does it cost more or less when it turns out the donor strip contained more or less grafts than was anticipated for?
When I had the procedure done,I agreed on a price and graft number so any extra grafts were basically thrown in for free. I would assume MOST places would do this especially when signing off on the procedure. (Cost,# of grafts)

I think you have to be careful and be assessed properly. I find that what most people refer to as 'keloid scars' are more like hypertrophic scars. If you have a tendency to form true keloid scars, then I think that you need to be careful with both FUT and FUE.

Minoxidil is originally supposed to be used twice a day. I would look into taking finastriride as well and maybe a good derma roller.. the best on the market is called a "Dermanator 2.0" it's a bit pricey but gets the job done 👍

I got 1500 graphs done about 6 years ago, and it cost me about $6,000 USD. Some of them are starting to fall out now however.
In turkey is alot alit cheaper .... 3000 euro can get you more than 1500 graphs ... It's all about finding the right clinic

It should normally settle, but it is worthwhile checking in with your prescribing physician to make sure that the diagnosis is correct.

You should try the 0.5mg and see if it can maintain stability. I have seen 0.5mg being very effective in some people. Not everyone, but some people.

The transplants haven't failed, it is the remaining hairs that have the potential to fall out over time.
