    The brilliance of the gig bars and move is that. Even of you are a master of DMX, time is your enemy. As a DJ if your doing weddings and othe private events you don't always have or want to spend a lot of time setting up. Time is money and especially right now if your trying to maximize time to compensation the gig bars series give you that. It mY not be the best light show out there but then again it takes 5-15 minutes to set up multiple bars together with cables and or other communication hardware. If you have sound switch you can even make it more custom (for a fee of course. You should get paid for your time and work). Chauvet really made a winner here. Thus is misunderstood by many DJs as being to simple or armature but they forget the cost of time and set up for more advanced rigs. Now that covid is a thing people are tighter with money, making this even better return on investment.

    I own two Gigbar ver 2 and always use it with Chauvet Hurricane 2D and never had problems (yet) with a venue as long as you use it on the lightest setting and trigger it's self ever 15min intervals for 9 sec (fast fan setting). If you are going to use a smoke machine you are definitely going to have a lot of problems with fire alarm at the venue. I'm interested in the Gigbar Move but the moving heads were not that great. i want to know if it is possible to get the moving heads to do a sweep from side to side slowly no other lights on...

    • @Gitiffan
      @Gitiffan Před 4 lety

      I agree with the moving heads. I thought there were a big letdown for me. I own two Gigbar ver 2 as well and was really looking forward to purchasing the Move and running it between the two ver 2s. But seeing the moving heads, it really deflated my urge to buy one.

    • @djlopes_com
      @djlopes_com Před 4 lety +2

      Gitiffan I have purchased the Move and I would not recommend it as the moving heads are lost in the light show. It would have been nice if they allowed the moving heads to stand out on its own & more light
      wattage for it. You can not control the sweep speed. A total let down I agree with you.

    Personally I am dissapointed with the review as he is usually bang on with products ....this thing is actually the worst light i ever had...nothing against gig bars or chauvet either ... the gig bar 2 is a decent effect for a decent price and its easy to pack away and set up in various ways so I get it and think it well worth it and it suits a market simple pack away n set up - stuff dmx. if you have these already just get seperate moving heads - these mh on this are weaker than stan laurals love handle - the strobe cannot be turned off on remote like you can on gig bar 2 . it needs d m x to control it properly but people buy it to avoid using dmx generally as Mike himself said. And the bag is not good like he says it wont last 2 min as it is under more strain than kim kardasians bra ,,,The idea was good but they rushed it to market got it wrong here and I totally disagree with the review and assesment here for these reasons. In my honest assesment it is a fashing blinging piece of over priced chinese crap.

    There are ways round this.. I’m happy, and I recognise the accent, to come and spill some expertise. You need a proper control system to go with it, not sound to light, and not buttons in time to the music. Gobo. What’s a gobo, then?
