How to Remove an In-Ground Bollard

  • Kieran takes us through the steps of removing and replacing an in-ground bollard.
    To remove:
    1. Insert security key, with the arm facing left.
    2. Turn the key to point upwards.
    3. Turn the bollard 90 degrees to the right.
    4. Lift carefully.
    5. Place the bollard in a safe place: use the matching baseplate if you have one.
    6. Try to keep the key facing up, so the lock doesn't fall down.
    To replace the bollard:
    1. Lower carefully, the key-side facing 90 degrees to the right of the lock in the baseplate.
    2. Turn the bollard 90 degrees to the left.
    3. Turn the key to the left, and remove.
    4. Check the bollard is locked firmly in place.
