sounds terrible imo. I love jazz and improvisation but I think so many players of it are just... bad. Or at least, not good. Maybe they sound passable. But nothing they do strikes me as "oh ya that was just brilliant"... it just sounds like endless twiddling... no thought, no care, just hit the chord tones on the beat (or off the beat even it dont matter), nothing matters, just do whatever you want and the average schmuck is going to be impressed either way because they have no musical skills whatsoever...
