Depending on the source of the electricity to charge the batteries not such a daft idea. A sizeable percentage of all fuel used by the US Military in Iraq was simply to transport fuel to the end users..

Der Leopardmotor soll mithilfe vom Anlasser mit gleichzeitiger Nullförderung der Reiheneinspritzpumpe gedreht werden, um das Motoröl an die Schmierstellen zu fördern. Normal sollte dies bis zu einem Öldruck von 0,5 bar erfolgen, was aber mit der geringen Starterdrehzahl so gut wie unmöglich ist. Das anschließende warten bis zum nächsten Startvorgang ist auch sinnvoll, um die thermische Belastung am Starter so gering wie möglich zu halten. Die Drehzahlerhöhung hat keinen Einfluss auf die Langlebigkeit dieses Motors, da erst mit ausreichender Drehzahl alle Bauteile ausreichen mit allen Schmiermitteln oder ähnlichem versorgt werden. Außerdem war auf dem Motor keine Last durch Getriebe oder Hydraulik was einen Verschleiß bei kaltem zustand hervorrufen könnte, also verstehe ich beim besten Willen Ihre Haltung nicht bezüglich des Kraftfahrers. Nicht alles ist sofort ersichtlich, sondern benötigt ausreichen Verständnis im Umgang mit dem Material.
