'' The Lifestyle of The Ilaje Community ''

This is a short Documentary which narrates the story of the Ilaje tribe from Okitipupa Ondo , how they migrated from Ife to Lagos and became the power behind the fishery.
Ilaje is a Local Government Area in Ondo State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Igbokoda. The Ilajes are a distinct migratory coastal linguistic group of Yoruba peoples spread along the coastal belts of Ondo, Ogun, Lagos and Delta states, and originally made up of four geo-political entities namely: Ode Ugbo, Ode Mahin, Ode Etikan and Aheri. While most towns and villages in the Mahin kingdom (Ode Mahin) are distributed on arable lands, the towns and villages in the other three geo-polities of Ugbo, Aheri and Etikan kingdoms are spread out along the beaches and swampy terrains of the Atlantic Ocean coast.

The first man history is not clear. According to history Owa obokun of ijesa land was one of oduduwa son that went to get water from the sea to cure his father blindness.

Ilaje is not from Okitipupa, you need to do your research well before misleading people. Okitipupa is an Ikale land. Migrated from Ife to Lagos? You need to edit your caption. All in all, good job.

@@haquadmumtaz1708 the Ilajes migrated from Ile-ife after Oduduwa was crowned the leader of Yoruba race. The king of the Ilajes then, Obamakin Osangangan, left Ile-ife in anger due to the fact that Oduduwa, who met them in Ile-ife after his sojourn from Mecca, was made to rule over them.
