Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed “The Colbert Report,” which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one third of the time. Good luck, Bill!" - Zábava
Who’s in 2019 and watch this because she plays in His Dark Materials.
I fell in love, and now am watching her earlier stuff like this one and Luther.
I had to switch it off immediately. I LOVE her in His Dark Materials and don't want to know her political views😭 I don't get why actors/actresses do this so publicly. They have every right to have an opinion but don't ruin the immersion PLEASE!!!
She’s not really giving a political view. She brought in a pumpkin with trump hair and called it scary. For all you know she still could like Trump. No hate but I still kinda agree with you just not fully.
I pronounce it "LUTHER".
Me! When I saw her playing Mrs. Coulter I just felt in love with her character. She's amazing! 😍🥰❤
She's awesome in His Dark Materials
She's awesome in everything. Best actress alive right now.
She was so amazing on Luther. What a talented actress.
That smile!
Vera R. : I couldn't get enough of her. So awesome.
Vera R. She was amazing on Luther, I was scared of her, and so was Luther.
Classically trained
Classical training alone doesn't cut it. Looks and charisma have to be there too or doing it for the love in obscurity is the end result.@@kurtsudheim825
I miss Alice Morgan soo much from Luther T.T
Josh Yang i know Luther wasn't the same without her
she was absolutely brilliant in that show!
i simply don't watch it without her.
omg yes. she was so badass. I would marry her in a heart beat
She's coming back for Series 5 later this year
I love Ruth Wilson! She was in my favorite version of Jane Eyre.
And also, ALICE FROM LUTHER.
She makes The Affair; she is a stunning actress with brilliant depth and an intriguing mix of dark and light. She and Maura Tierney make the show fantastic.
The series is a brilliantly dark and unflinching examination of human frailties, their self-destructive impulses and the ramifications of such on those around them.
Never heard of her, but her dry sense of humour and her eyebrows won me over in a heartbeat.
same
Penny Lane I watch the series Affair..she is gorgeous and talented
Then watch Luther with Idris Elba and her.
She is outstanding in Luther. A very sexy psychopath.
MetrazolElectricity There is sharing and there is oversharing. I appreciate sharing.
Bring back Alice Morgan!
Such maddeningly snatched interviews on American TV - in which the interviewer keeps pushing away at what were simply tangential throwaway remarks, so you never get into either the interviewee, or much into the work they're there to talk about! Infuriating and frustrating..!!! And I imagine the guests (particularly Brit artists), probably feel the same way - that look: "You mean it's over? That's it? This is what I dressed up for..?? Eight minutes of stupid crap???"
U okay babe?
@@charlottehitchin4986 he’s not wrong though. American talk shows are completely unwatchable. I guess Americans just have really short attention spans.
@@attackpatterndelta8949 ahah I was joking I much prefer British interviews but it because I’m British I like watching other cultures tv shows too? Idk
She was so awesome on Luther. Alice Morgan is one of the most charismatic villains ever. Loved it. ✌
She's so charming and witty. I loved the theory about Cinderella
I discovered her in Woman in the Wall and am now a fan forever. She is great in Jane Eyre too.
She had me at Jane Eyre. She was absolutely perfect in that role!
It's about damn time she was back in Luther. Who else kept thinking she'd show up in the most recent season of the show. #Disappointed
She was also supposed to get her own spin-off from Luther but that never happened either.
Hold on, do Americans not have Haribo?
I know , weird right :-D
We just call em Gummy Bears
In 1982 made the leap across the Atlantic and opened its US sales office in Baltimore, Maryland.
HARIBO of America, Inc. promotes a wide variety of gummi candies with the GOLD-BEARS® as the number 1 selling gummi-bear in America.
F. S. Thanks wikipedia -.-
we do have haribo, stephen's trippin
2023 because of BBC Luther 😂❤!!! She is Aaaamazing as Alice 💝
Steals every scene she was ever in on The Affair! Brilliant Actress!
She’s such a good actress, that when I see her character in his dark materials I feel so disgusted
I loved her in The Affair, she's such an amazing and talented beautiful actress. I lost all interest after she was killed off on the series. Wish she could have continued and ended up with Noah
Her eyebrows are fucking perfect,.
she is fantastic in his dark materials
Why is it when you see Ruth Wilson you can't help but think she's the most lovely woman in the world?
She is terryfyingly beautiful 😍
I assume the dislikes are from Americans who always thought she was American from other shows who just realised she's British? I see no reason for anyone to hate on Ruth... She's a lovely lady, great personality, and absolutely stunning!..
We need Alice back. :(
Wow, I guess Donal Trump does have a good temperament! He didn't say anything sexist or racist for a whole eight minutes and six seconds!
Everyone says I was waiting for Alison and Cole will be together, but guys the thing is the serial is like a real life and real life is not a fairy tail, people meet each other, people break up, they die of diseases and so on. That s why I love the Affair so much, there is not any sweetness in it.
Your Majesty I like the affair because I like staring at Ruth Wilson. I could care less about the show
I love her show
Mrs Coulter goals!!
I love Ruth Wilson! She is AMAZING as Alice Morgan (I hope she comes back in season 5). But, is it me, or is this Colbert guy the WORST interviewer EVER?? He spent the bulk of the interview just mocking everything she said as if she was a Martian, or something. I TOTALLY got her point about Cinderella. She is basically enslaved and tortured by an "evil stepmother"- how is that NOT scary? Also, Ruth Wilson never ONCE said, "I think I'm quite evil", so whats up with that quote in the title??
man i love Ruth Wilson she is amazing, she's 1 of those actresses that can say a lot without saying anything just with a look
I may have watched this interview a couple or more times already 😂
Her and her siblings playing tricks on trick or treaters is just great.😂 Also I highly recommend watching I Am The Pretty Thing That Lives In The Walls, it's a great movie.
I love the whole Cinderella thing.😂 And how he asks if she fights a bear and she says she fights sheep.🤪
she brought out a "trumpkin "
She was so good on Luther
how can you not know haribo???
Haribo sugar-free gummy bears are legendary here. People who say they aren't aware of them may just be repressing a horrible memory...
stretchchris1, ❤ Germany.
Hahahahaha, I stayed up once just reading stories about Haribo sugar free gummy bears and crying from laughter
No...danish.
Did Mrs. Coulter seriously give Stephen a Trump pumpkin?
HARIBO has nothing to do with nougat
I just discovered her a few weeks ago and I am in love.
LOVE her from Luther tv show!
I really dig her I’m not sure why. She’s not a conventional beauty but there’s def something about her...
Ruth is just a legend
A horror sequel to Cinderella could be pretty fuckin' cool.
Halloween originated in Ireland
The legend of stingy jack .
Aye, it was originally practiced in the Celtic areas of the British Isles, including Scotland. It comes from term All Hallows' Evening.
I heard it started in western England in a village called Hallow, then spread.
The village was probably named after all hallows festival.
Am so happy for her , for leaving the affair
Loved her as Alice in Luther
Americans always ask if we have Halloween in the UK, we invented it you plant pots. It originates from Britain and Ireland in the 16th century. He also thinks that in Britain we don't have sweets and candy. The first candy, as you would know it, came to America in the early 18th century from Britain and France!
Please forgive us, as you know our education system is lacking. So many of us get left behind. lol
Scarlett Fox 😂
shes so damn endearing
Trick or treat doesn't have to end with a treat, cold water is brilliant! Bit mean, but brilliant.
Doesn't Halloween originate from Britain?
IF they ever do a remake of the Facts of Life television series, Ruth would be an awesome Mrs. Garrett. She's can pull of a rather sharply cutting Nanny McPhee vibe.
She's surprisingly hilarious
She'll always be Alice to me
I don't know why she reminds me of Dorothy. She could play Dorothy from the wizard of oz
Love her 😂😂😂
No word about Luther? Great series.
Dang Stephen is awfully close to her and wont let her finish talking. I can't stand when talk show hosts do that. Let the guests finish what they are saying! Geesh!
There is a place in Florida they do "On the Water" Drive in Style screenings of Jaws.
ALIIIIIICE!
es muy guapa y una gran actriz tiene bonita sonrisa y preciosos ojos
I was watching it on Sunday October 30,2016 in Netflix
she's so incredibly striking
Agree
Just binged The Affair. She was fantastic. One of the best shows I've ever seen. Big shame how the showrunner ran her off with too many unnecessary sex scenes by season 4. As good as it was the last 2 seasons could have been much better if not for her departure.
Shes My PE Teachers Sister
I used to play cricket with her dad and brothers
Does her brother have similar mannerisms. They are very distinct. Also, was your school private.
Recognize her from Saving Mr. Banks. She was amazing!
that's my costume next year, a "new git"
She was in Luther!!! *swoons
They were talking about jaws! It was scary for me but if u watch it from reverse u will be watching a heartwarming story of a shark giving arms and legs to disabled people
Did she get the stem / hand joke. She didn't seem like she knew what he was talking about.
I hope there is coming no The affair season 5, cause without her it sucks :-(
Some sheep are pretty big. One stepped on my foot once in New Zealand -- ouch!
luther!!!!
"You're a terrible person"
"...yeah"
I like her, I wonder if shes like that all the time.
Modern Englishmen are descended from the Norman conquerors are they not? Would that not make them French-blooded?
"The dark, sharks...." if she had said bungalows that would've been eerily similar to the Millie Bobby brown interview, accent and all.
She should continue playing villains. It suits her best
I didn't even realize she was in I Am The Pretty Thing That Lives In The House. Frankly, it's one of the most boring horror movies I've ever seen, but still. I absolutely love her in His Dark Materials and See How They Run and I started watching Luther because she's in it.
she worked with both tom hiddleston and benedict cumberbatch....
serenevil and Idris Elba
They're sitting awfully close
What a babe
ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE
Your eyes eventually adapt to the dark.
Love her outfit, chic and interesting.
Aliceee? Is that you?
Way to brutalise a nice Trumpkin
Are there any US chat show hosts who are actually good at it? 😮
The best teeth in the game.
watching Americans try to understand anything British is so uncomfortable
🥰
Can someone please tell me if they talk about the end of Luther ? I'm currently catching up so I'm afraid of spoilers... Please be nice and don't ruin the show for me, I just want to know if I can watch this interview safely !! Haha
TheyTasteSoGood nope! They just discuss her upcoming films.
Rosa Coletti thank you !
lol i would have been so pissed
TheyTasteSoGood
SPOILER ALERT! LUTHER gets transfered to Sparta Ms. but they call him Mr. Tibbs???smh
I didn't find that movie that scary
Stop it Alice you’re fooling no one
I haven't seen her in a lot of stuff but she is beautiful and hot, shes an actress id certainly sleep with, if Ruth ever gets a Comic Book role, it should be The Phantasm from Batman 😍😍😍, if a British version of the Film Chocolat (2000) was made today, I can see Ruth starring in it
Alice Morgan
It's pronounced 'Nugget' by a lot of working class U.K kids. Her pronounciation sounds very Middle/Upper...... 'New-gar'.
Raise your hand if Ruth is your most guilty pleasure.
She was amazing in Luther
But in the affair and real life she is a princess
