    Nicely done! Great video because your dictation is relaxed and very easy to understand. I am encouraged to find brush!

    Ive put 5 years in on the same lake. 1-2 times per week except Dec-Feb 1st. I’ve found 2 brush piles so far. I’m told there’s tons. Man I really suck! 😆
    I use Navi web app. But it’s not the same as my lake master maps. Neither show what’s actually there when I go check. It says hump on Navi for instance. I go idle, it’s flat. It’s say 14 feet on lake master, 18 on Navi, I idle it at full pool, it’s 12 foot or 20. 🤷🏻‍♂️ So I never know where to start. I know I’m missing more then I realize at 3mph. But after 5 years. I think I may need a new hobby lol. Haven’t tried finding crappie yet. No grass or pads like where I’m originally from, so no clue other then checking a bridge I guess.

    That is a great advice. I'm new to fishing lakes. We live in the southern piedmont area of NC. We have five dam created lakes within forty miles. I primarily Lake Tillery that was created by Duke Energy back in the 1920's. I have the Navionics app, Active Capitan for my Garmin echomap 93sv plus and Google earth. I spend quite a bit of time watching CZcams videos on fishing topics and how to use electronics. I am relatively new at using electronics to actually look for structure and find fish. It's a time consuming process to make the effort. I have recently been doing a lot of scanning our lake for structure, cover locations and fish based on information shared by others such as yourself. I listen for comparable comments about where to look at different times of the year, what to look for on my sonar, how to mark and return back to those structures to scan more closely for details and fish. My past three outing track logs averaged 2-4 hours and 6-12 miles behind the echomap 93sv plus CV, SV and 2D sonar screens bottom scanning, marking and trying to find/identify fish. So far, I'm finding some structures and covers but not any large schools of fish. But, I am catching a few small Bluegills near the bottom around some of the covers and gaining confidence. It's definitely a process! Thanks for sharing!

      Its kinda like a light switch once you figure out exactly what it looks like for crappie to be stacked it becomes superrr easy to find them

    One tip I will add....If you're not finding brush piles then go out and put some out. Especially if you don't have electronics that will help you find some. Get on Navionics, find places where brush piles should be, AND THEN PUT SOME THERE.

    you want find any better info than this! I found brush all the time 20 years ago with 2D, Now I run in 18 ft of water all the time, about 3 mph,run my side scan out 30 ft both ways and I find new brush all the time, but I also put out a lot of brush ,

      And most of that technology can still be used and probably gave free to people who don't have any graph. They want me to make a video about finding them without electronics. Guess I'm going dock shooting haha

    • @TurnerFishingg
      @TurnerFishingg  Před 2 lety

      Long as the water is deeper than the average part of the lake just go from there 20 to 30 feet deep id look in 10-15

    Man if you drop brush far enuff off the bank people won’t find it. Seen a guy in N C said all his brushpile are 100 yds off the bank. Happy Birthday. 🎂. How old?

    • @TurnerFishingg
      @TurnerFishingg  Před 3 lety

      Would be harder to find 100 yds off the bank unless you follow the depths you wanna fish with your graph then still find it. Pvc pipe is hard to pick up on sides and down. I'll be 31 :)

    Please make a video on how to find Crappie without electronics. If I had electronics I wouldn't need to be watching CZcams

    There is no , never a replacement for time on the water. The more time on the water the more you understand the fish . The more brushe piles you put out the more places you have to fish. It is just that simple
