- Located in a residential neighbourhood in the outskirts of Amritsar, Perennial House is built in response to the client’s love for greenery, nature, and minimalism. The simplicity of the material palette makes the house timeless while specific and strategic design solutions make it suitable for all seasons.
A full height exposed brick curved wall that scoops the front of the building is a highlight feature of this house. Not only does it act as a background to the deciduous tree planted in the front part of the plot, but also orchestrates the entry to the house, and creates a spatial difference between the kitchen-dining and the living room in an otherwise open plan. Its thick 13.5-inch rat trap masonry wall blocks excess heat from the south.
Each space is designed to open into a courtyard that adds a sensation of calmness to the spaces while controlling the microclimate. The winds running east-west are trapped, accelerated, and humidified by the long and narrow courtyard garden, which brings daylight, air, and a view to the landscape to almost all rooms. Bay windows blurs the boundaries between the interiors and the exteriors, making a serene contemplative space for one to unwind.

The double heighted curved wall, an open floor plan, a minimal material palette and seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces are some key highlights of this project. Absolutely loved the feel of this house. What a great feeling to live in so meticulously planned house. The architects have put in their creativity and sensitivity in the making of this house. I loved all the bay windows and the play of light and air during different times of day. Plants and their positive energy is such a feel good factor

Aside from curved wall, the two elements which stood out the most to me were the bay window in dining area, and the slit given on first floor space. Such things seems common sense when they get built but are not. Didn't thought a simple bay window could connect outdoor and indoor space with such seamlessness. What a beautiful house. Talented team like yours inspire me daily to work even hard.
It's an absolutely stunning house more so because the layout is so creatively worked out. Best wishes to all of you!

Beautiful house plan. Doesn't look like built in less than 2000sqft plot. Very intelligent planning of the facade with the curved wall visually standing out. Very interesting way to bring natural light into family area upstairs. Wondering if there is a provision for lift. Since it is South facing and with all other 3sides covered wonder how wind can flow from the East as narrated. Over all good design with simple pallette of materials. 👍

Beautiful design, but there’s one confusion related to the size of the house. In the video you mentioned it’s
27ft (width) X 62(depth), that’s going to be 1674sqft, whereas the caption says it’s 1985sqft.
Please clarify.
1674 could be constructable area after deducting space for setbacks.

Bhai, Its not required, Saara details share nahi kiya jata hai, Chor high tech ho gaye hai aaj Kal. Online thumara ghar ka plan dekhenge aur accordingly plan karenge chori karne ke liye. They will have full idea kon sa room kaha pe hai and ghar mai kitne log hai. Have some common sense bro. Not everyone has a watchmen outside their home for protection at night
