A very nice family. We do have social issues too such as the flock of illegal immigrants here. Some looks similar to local. Enjoy your trip but just be a bit careful on any suspicious act
They've debit bank card but only at one gate, usually at the first one from left. Just buy a card & get 1 or 3 days unlimited ride cheaper
Any subway in South East Asia & East Asia is better than NY or London. China's subways are on another level.
Did you know for just USD1 you get to travel anywhere in the city with all linked subway system for the whole day unlimited number of times with the daily pass?No hassle, no scammers no risk, enjoy the clean speedy rides in KL city.
Was a pleasure driving you guys from Pavilion Bukit Jalil back to KL earlier. Enjoy your time in Malaysia!!
Bangkok is more suitable for young tourist, Singapore for rich tourist and KL for tourist with family😊😊
that is exactly how we feel. Singapore is too expensive and Bangkok has a lot of parties. KL is great for families
I felt that too. Im a Malaysian, I notice the directions of our country more into family type.

Welcome to Malaysia...or Selamat Datang ke Malaysia... 🎉🎊✨
I have travelled to alot of countries. Malaysia is the best out of all of em. Malaysia has everything a person needs. Beaches, jungles, adventures, nice shopping malls, delicious food, lovely people, beautiful infrastructure, respect for foreigners, nice roads to drive around and etc etc. Can't name it all, but it's the best. ❤❤❤
Totally agree!
We have flaws but I can say we as Malaysians working together to make our country to be the best . Thanks for sharing our country to the world
Well said. We agree with you dave
Love Rapid KL. Malaysians should be proud. From Canada
We are..Thank you Canada
Canada is a large country with beautiful lakes ... it has a good transport network system too...hi from Malaysia 🎉
❤
I used to travel by bus in Vancouver back in the 80s. Its efficient too.
Bombardier product of Canada. Our LRT Kelana Jaya line using Bombardier. Love the train system.
Tips for travellers. Always buy a TOUCH AND GO(TNG) card to use in Malaysia. Reasons:
1. Rails fare are cheaper compared to cash payment.
2. If you buy the NFC card type TNG, you can reload it on your phone with NFC capability.
3. TNG works on all public transports. MRT, LRT, BRT (Bus on dedicated track in Sunway), Monorail and all the RapidKL buses.
4. You can also buy TNG with 1 or 3 days pass. The 3 days pass is economical if you are travelling a lot.
Just forget the vending machines. Few locals actually use it. Btw, i was actually involved in the design and implementation of the MRT ticketing system. LOL.
That is awesome 😎
Now we can use debit/credit card for payment to use RapidKL trains and buses.
No need to buy Touch 'n Go card or buy the token from the machine anymore.
Yeay!
@@HadiAsadGDalHaj Actually, i don't know why some people refuse to use TNG...i can tell you that using your credit/debit card with all these systems has higher risks of exposing your card details. Remember...even the Deputy Finance Minister admits the security issue... like in Japan, it's so convenient with Suica card. I will not use my debit/credit card for transport at all, even if the option is available.
@@ZxSpectrumplus
Same here 😊
@@ZxSpectrumplusSame. I still prefer to use touch n go card.
Actually our IC is also equipt with tng. We can use that too.

I went to Kuala Lumpur in 2017 and I find it a very interesting mix of so many cultures, traditions and architectures. I live in Vancouver, Canada, and I'd like to point out that the train you showed from 6:57 is exactly the same as the newest trains you'd find on the Vancouver SkyTrain on the Expo Line, it is a Bombardier Mark III built in Ontario. So it's really cool to see a country so far from home that is using a Canadian-built product to such extent!
That is pretty awesome
Malaysian here, for this transit line (Kelana Jaya Line) it was established since 1998 and the first rolling car was made by Bombardier (Innovia ART 200) 2-car
welcome, Mr Canada👏🏻
As a malaysian I ve visited many countries. Every country has strength and weakness. However, thank u for your compliment
That is true. No place is perfect
Nice video! The system in Kuala Lumpur looks nice 👍 been to NY and it's really creepy 🥴
It really is!
Selamat datang & enjoy your staying & travelling here. If you have difficulty in pronouncing 'Kuala Lumpur', just say it KL as we locals do.
Thanks! 😃
Like I always tell my foreign friends with family, Malaysia is the best and safest destination to try out travelling with your family and loved ones!😊
Totally agree!
Malaysia famous for their huge shopping mall, and it can be found everywhere
Huge and everywhere
@@voyagesdiary.. blame it on the weather, to be fair we need all the air conditioning we can get.
If you guys are still around in KL, (1) take MRT to 1 Utama - Skylab skydiving, VR games, surfing etc (2) take a Grab to Sunway Pyramid for water theme park (3) Bus from KL Central to Genting Highlands for more theme park . I'm sure your kids will enjoy their time here.
Thanks for all the tips

Welcome to malaysia. Most people here speaks English. Very convenient for u all. If u guys plan to go on an island holiday, perhentian and redang islands are recommended.

Just a minor clarification here. most people in the city speaks english. When you're getting further away from the city, you could even struggle to find someone local to communicate regardless of their race.
The only “terror” we face here on KL’s public transportation system is when you get in a train with someone who doesn’t shower, happens more often than I care to share
Sometimes we had to face it eventually.

Welcome to. Malaysia..😁enjoy the trip an the atmosphere..an the locals food..next your can go to Sabah/Sarawak also.. thanks..🫰
The rush hour here in Malaysia is between 7.30 to 9.00 in the morning and 4.30 to 6.00 in the afternoon, on week days. Saturday and Sundays are usually very quiet and peaceful. Also, we do have some problems with delays with KTM (that's normal train) but LRT and Monorail systems are usually on time unless we have unusual problems like last Monday (6/5/2024) when a tree feel and blocked the path in KL.
What a beautiful 😍❤️❤️ family. The kids are so wonderful 👍😊😊😊

Useful video ❤❤
Malaysian here. I have never been to the US but I have been to European countries, they are cleaner, but KL is definitely MUCH cheaper lol...
Thanks for the compliment & hope you enjoy it ,
Your words are too kind! :) We sometimes can be too hard on our own infra, there's always room for improvement, and a lot of times I think to myself, damn, what would the visitors think of our infra if such and such looks like this etc. Good to know that it's generally acceptable in the grand scheme of things. The newer MRT is great though. And to be fair, I'm sure the subway system in NYC has its own charms. I have been on the NYC subway one or two times when I was visiting the city back in 2003. I just find that the NYC subway is just iconic. Scary? Dirty? Smelly? Sure, but I think we're just describing the underbelly of any big cities. But you kinda feel like you're in a movie sometimes, kinda have to treat it as an adventure, rather than a simple commute lol.
WELCOME TO MY COUNTRY...MISS CUTE..WELCOME TO HOME VILLICE

Got recommended this video randomly today. Clicked and stayed, and subbed for more. I haven't been to KLCC since forever, let alone ride on the trains. Seeing the ride from a fresh perspective really brings me back 😂
Welcome aboard!
Thanks for your honor review of Malaysia subway. Have a nice trip and i wish your family enjoy everything in Malaysia. ❤❤

You should also review a train in Sabah which is a region in Malaysia located in the island of Borneo. There is only one line that operates between the capital city of Kota Kinabalu and to a town in the interior. However service is irregular as the train usually breaks down but it is "unique" because when there is no train service, the people in the interior gets very creative as they modify and convert the wheels of either their motorcycles or vehicles and used it on the railway tracks for transportation. And by the way, another unique features of Sabah is that most of the roads are similar to the surface of the moon with its many potholes. In fact, the roads are perfect to use as a simulation exercise for a moon rover that will be use to send to the moon. Perhaps NASA can bring their moon rover to Sabah for simulation exercise 😂😂😂
Well said, guys. Tq.

Welcome to KL and enjoy your stay here.

Hello from Malaysia!
You try mrt and its really amazingly clean and modern
sounds good
If you're a traveller travelling in KL and some parts of greater KL (around KL-Selangor state border), I can recommend you grab a TnG card, top up RM10 and head down to any ticket counter at any stataions under RapidKL and tell them you want to get 1 day or 3 days pass which is way cheaper if you guys choose to use any metro stations including buses and BRT unlimited for 1 or 3 days.
Subways in usa and UK are older than those in China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, malaysia, Thailand. Thus it looked run down. Of course the social problem is more in usa or UK and erope
they are runned down. because people don't care for them
Off course when people urinate, poop and draw graffiti everywhere there, the whole place soon stinks and become run down....
Their government should invest money to upgrade and maintain them into better condition
Thank you for sharing this! As a rail enthusiast I definitely hope that the ticket machine could be improved as well. Currently you can tap in by credit/debit card at all ticket barriers to my knowledge, and you can purchase tickets by card at the MRT Putrajaya Line machines only. Hope that helps 😊
Yes, that what others have told us. They should put a sign that NFC cards are accepted or maybe it's there and we are blind 😂
@@voyagesdiaryhahaha it’s really common to have confusing signage here. Definitely will be advocating for clearer and improved signage so that they are easy to follow. Cheers 🎉

It's good that you managed to go around 4-4:30 pm. That's why it's pretty empty. Afternoon rush hour usually starts at 5:30 pm onwards. Now, we also have flexible working hours (start earlier/later, return home earlier/later) so that helps regulate the crowd.
Flexible working hours? That is something new sounds interesting
@@voyagesdiary Yes. Many government offices, bodies and some private companies have adopted these. However, in Malaysia, "flexible working hours" does not mean you work less.
