- Mixing kick drums and 808s too loud can create problems during mastering. In this video I show techniques to boost the perceived loudness of your low end to make your beats or song hit harder.

Great video, man. I agree with everything you said here. Like I've heard so many producers say, "The magic is in the midrange." Also, the distortion tip is key. People would be surprised but bass is almost always distorted in professional productions. Even if you think it's completely inappropriate for the genre, it's still probably distorted. I've seen a Nashville mix engineer add distortion to the bass on the cleanest sounding pop track. You can't hear the distortion in the mix. It just adds harmonic information that allows it to cut through. It's just another way of adding midrange content.
This guy is genius. Did you even notice how simplicity his beats are? Not many stuffs going on which gives room for the artist. You deserve bigger bruh 😮
God bless you mehn🙏🏾🙏🏾you're videos have helped me a bunch❤

This is one of the most useful & informative mix videos I've ever seen on CZcams. These doubling techniques for improving your kick & bass are absolute gold.

Love your videos, have you tried sub lab? You’re able to do the 808 technique within one plugin basically.
No I haven’t tried it yet. I might have to check it out if it speeds up the workflow.
Why do you remind me of Theo Von in this video
Has to be my mullet-in-the-making
