  • This demo reel from Tuesday Productions was sent to stations on 1/4" reel-to-reel tape, as a way of drumming up business. You will no doubt recognize some it as it was a used by any number of stations in the early 1980s.
    This transfer was made from the original 1/4" tape, captured at 44.1/16 bit with no filtering, EQ, noise reduction, compression, or other monkey business.

    3:01 - That must have been used by TV-6 out of Florida which refers to WDBO-TV (now WKMG) out of Orlando, FL.

    This was right before they became Network Music. They still have many of their records last I checked, but can't use them because they don't know how to reach the composers. They moved to Florida. It's sad when a company can't get use out of its own music anymore. They produced some of the absolute best TV and radio music.

      Good info. So Tuesday Productions as we knew it no longer exists?

      @@VPR2B It exists AGAIN. The owner brought it back and moved everything from the Tuesday era to Florida. The Network Music stuff stayed with the Killer Tracks stuff and is now part of Universal. Today they have a lot of the old stuff, but can't use most of the old stuff. They do produce new stuff. It's not exactly the same. Clark Gault told me he had a falling out with the guy in charge, so I didn't want to bother anyone. I did buy some music from him he had that was in the News People package, I now know. News View was my newscast in parts of central Illinois.

      I noticed that the website says they are based in Arizona. But it says 2013. I talked with them then on the phone and they said they moved to Florida. Hmm.

    Who was the male lead singer? He almost sounds like he could have been a top country singer.

    Why does one of the songs sound like Kline & Productions?

    • @SigHawk04
      @SigHawk04 Před 5 měsíci +2

      You're referring to the Pirates '81 theme I take it. KDKA likely commissioned Tuesday Productions to create a theme based on Klein &'s "Here's 2". Fairly common practice as evidenced by all the packages out there using the old WBBM motif.
