Every competition-thrower should study this, and make exercises to get a similar good technique! It's a perfect move like we know moves from asian martial arts!
The reverse step is the obvious useful lesson and I imagine allows more torso rotation on which to add the arm's speed. Les obvious, and only just visible on slow motion playback, is the very rapid (motion blurred) wrist flick, which probably allows additional speed to be added to the arm, plus torso motion -- as well as spin. Very instructive and great to share this video with all, thanks Bill
It would be good to know the frame rate of the recording, then with a guess of Manuel's height we could estimate the boomerang's speed, rotation rate, energy of throw and so on......

I'm jawdropping because it is throwing almost horizontal!! Is it always so in long distance boomerangs?

He was an several records holder 238m± unbeatable.. . I forgot how far he done to throwed. At least 140m± . At one year ago he got 1st with 150m± .
