After roman cancel an easy combo is c.S 2H xx 214k

I like how the combo is shown in slow motion and then at normal speed.
Standing Y, Standing B, Quarter Circle Forward A, Roman Cancel, Standing Y, Standing B, Quarter Circle forward A 3:49 Variation, or you can replace the Quarter Circle back A to Quarter Circle forward A 4:06
One thing that needs to be careful with is some combos don't work on certain characters due to hitbox diff. 426HS+6HS works on Ky but can't hit Ram, for example. Best Sol combo guide so far in my perspective, great job!!
I'm not sure if it's maybe because there's been a few patches since but if you dash after 426hs you can hit the 6hs.

The last combo also works midscreen btw, you just can’t do the second slash to standing HS
having trouble connecting 6s and 6hs to night raid vortex. its like the end lag is too long for me to hit it. what am i doing wrong?
That jump slash, close slash, sweep into tyrant rave is in the mission mode and idk why I just can never get the timing down on it. I’ve gotten the combo always two times but you need the three to pass. First guilty gear ever though and so far it’s been mad fun for sure gonna peep this video some more and practice.
came here after failing this one for more than an hour, how are you even expected to get the timing right on this one?
@@plugalol break the combo down into two parts the timing for jump slash into close isnt too bad just spam slash as fast as you can. then for seep into tyrant rave you can cheat it by doing a full 360 movement i got this combo down finally after a while takes a bit to get used to it. watch the sample to help you out too.

Where is the combo tutorial on this game?
Brand new to fighting games (apart from platform fighters like Smash) and have been splitting my brain in two trying to figure out how combos work. The slo-mo helps a bunch! Is there a rhyme or reason as to what combos together or is it basically trial and error?
Agreed, I come from basically only playing MK where their combos seem so easy and the info in game is all right there, so im in the same boat just testing random things lol
One of the best places to start is to see what moves are able to be cancelled into one another (in this game it is called 'Gatlings') For example, Sol can do S into HS but not K into S. Once you have that down, it comes down to learning how different moves can be linked together, which is something that games like Smash have when it comes to combos. Links are simply when a move has enough hitstun leftover than you can act before your opponent falls out, and hit them with a different move. An example of that here is whenever you land Fafnir, you can follow up with say 6H (->H). Once you figure out how different moves work in tandem, it is simply putting it all together in one combo! That's why you can see that these start off with simple 2 hit combos, but the later combos actually use those same 2 hits! This probably seems like a lot, but all of the ArcSystemWorks games are built upon these principles, so once you figure it out in one, you can usually carry it to the next.
4:50 that i can't do, I keep sending the enemy far away with the second hit and the crouch one is delayed.
For the combo at 6:38, how do you get the opponent to reliably bounce off the wall? when i start with c.S, HS most of the time the opponent does not bounce into the wall... Is it timing?
How do I follow up with the close S after the Jumping S it doesn’t count it as a combo. Here is the time stamp: 4:20

The sol overdrive combo in the mayship mission mode is impossible to do
Resetting to neutral (5) usually helps. I switched to joystick and can get buffers out easier.

Can't do the counter hit 6S > Vortex > 5K (2x) > Bandit Revolver combo. I'm playing on a Hori RAP 4 on my PS4 and Vortex doesn't come out after the 6S :/

I'm a total noob so forgive me, but some of these confuse me because they don't chain together when I try them, 1:45 for example, no matter what I do, 6HS does not flow into 214S. What am I doing wrong?
Make sure you turn on forced counter hits in training mode. Counter hit is the reason that your opponent will fly into the air off 6HS and give you the opportunity for a combo. Otherwise it's not possible at all.
(Also if that's not the problem, then make sure to be either close enough for the combo to work or properly hold 214S long enough to reach the opponent. It works better if you don't have to hold it though because the window to juggle is pretty small. Additionally, wait til Sol returns to a more neutral stance before inputting 214S, otherwise the move won't come out.)

You need to counter hit with the first attack (hit the enemy in the windup or during the active frames of an attack). If you want to try combos with counter hits, you can enable forced counter hits in training mode

How do I make my game look dimmer like this? My brightness is on 0 and shadow quality and texture quality is high, ambient occlusion is on. Do I need to turn off ambient occlusion? My game looks like it’s on double brightness

@@ahmz1404 hey when i use the forward heavy strike and forward strike it doesnt knock them into the air to allow for the combo. what am i missing? talking about the forward strike + downback strike + kick + downforward kick Combo
@@mr.bojangles9215 6S only launches up into the air on counterhit, so if you don't hit your opponent while one of their moves is starting up, you can't do that combo
