Whirlwind Guide To Reading A Faceting Diagram

There's a lot of information packed in a single sheet of paper. Faceting diagrams are compact cutting diagrams for faceting your own gemstones. Authors put a lot of work into the designs, so be sure to give them proper credit!

I know it’s off topic but I was listening to Randall Carlson’s latest podcast with Joe Rogan. He was mentioning the basalt’s and interesting formations and how the water there was moving hard and fast creating awesome pressures and creating formations. I was hoping you would show how to use the diagram to determine for instance if a person has apiece of rough .5"x.5" and wants to cut a round brilliant, how to determine how deep the rough needs to be to properly complete the stone OR if the rough they have is sufficient to complete the stone as designed
