Yup, a friend of mine got a Coach Court bag at a garage sale for $15 and I absolutely loved it! I now have two in my collection. The Casino bag in black or taupe is top of my list.

I have one LYXBAG bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...
My husband gifted me my first Coach, a burgundy tote, before we were married 43 years ago. Unfortunately I consigned it and regret that decision. Today I started rehab on two vintage bags and can hardly contain myself waiting for them to dry. ❤

I prefer to use smaller crossbody bags for everyday use. I have a neutral brown and a black one. These are the basic colors that go with any of my outfits. Yes, of course and thanks for watching. I know that some of those vintage bags can get heavy, especially because they have heavy leather to start with. I have only recently started using a modern chalk color, but it feels like it has a coating and would be easy to wipe down with a baby wipe.

That gorgeous colorful, striped interior lining inside your bag is called the Legacy lining from that collection at the time, so hang onto it because you don’t run across the legacy lining often, it’s one of my fave Coach collections!
I’m a huge vintage coach fan, the quality of the pieces just doesn’t compare to Coach today, and they were classic and classy bags. You have a very nice collection. When I see a vintage bag and feel the leather it somehow transports me back in time.
I have a Francine with that lining, gold pebbled leather, gorgeous (but worn). My daughter gave it to me, she had used it and it’s still beautiful; very heavy, though! It had great organization, but the crossbody strap is very awkward, when using that strap the bag collapses in half. Anyway…terrific video, Eva, thanks for sharing. BYW, LOVE the end music!! ♥️

I fell down the Coach vintage hole after finding a Lexington bucket for $18 at my local antique store. I learned it sold new for $198 and was made in Italy…in very good vintage (1990’s) condition. That was maybe five or six months ago. I’ve purchased several vintage Coach bags since then. However, I don’t like 90% of the newer Coach bags. They just don’t interest me.
Vintage coach is not a rabbit hole, it's a vast network of rabbit warrens. I rode horses growing up, so the original Glovetanned leather just makes sense to me because it's so much like saddles and bridles. I have a Willis that I still haven't found my stride with. I think the leather needs more attention, it's a bit delicate and easy to mark. I recently picked up a not-yet-vintage Hampton clip hobo (2009ish). I was in the mood for something with Gucci Jackie vibes. For under $30, I wasn't sure what to expect, but it cleaned up well. The leather trim seems to be vachetta, with just enough textural variation to be obviously hide, not bonded leather. So much nicer than what we're seeing in store these days.

Recently I found a Coach pink patchwork one with some suede at a garage sale. Also only $10.00. The suede looks dirty. Do you know how to clean that? These are all lovely! I have been a vintage Coach fan/collector for years and similar to your experience - most of the bags are beautiful leather and well made but then you find that one style in the right color, style and it just feels like an extension of your own arm or something and it's a great feeling. I haven't really felt like that with other handbags. Would love to know - what country was your rambler was made in? Would love to know - what country was your rambler was made in? As you venture down the rabbit hole, there is some variation in the leather depending on the year and country it was made in. Some people love the soft leather on Costa Rica and Mexico bags, others prefer the USA made. I also have some made in China bags in a camel color that is one of my all time favorites..
I don’t know yet how to read the creed code to know where it was made. I’ll have look that up!! Where ever this rambler was made it’s my current favorite! 💖

If it's not there, depending on the year, it could also be down at the bottom of the printed part but above the number code, it would say "made in ..." (those are usually US bags) The factory code is also embedded in many but not all of the Coach creed numbers but that level of analysis is more for detecting counterfeit bags. Anyway I know too much 😂
