  • If you want a spectacular New England experience, then you have to ride the East Bay Bike Path. The path was inducted into the Rail-Trail Hall of Fame in 2009 and the route is one of the most popular trails in Rhode Island. This trail 14 mile paved rail trail runs from Providence to Bristol, Rhode Island; and offers bikers stunning views of Narrangansett bay and marinas as it wanders past coves and marshes, weaves in and out of neighborhoods and connects to several parks and conservation areas. It's a very popular trail and one that is certain to have something for everyone -- you are always close to amenities on this trail!
Our ride took place on June 21, 2023.

Living about 12 mile from the Bristol end of the East Bay Bike path, I have ridden it at least 70 times (from end to end, and back...) It's my personal FAVORITE in All of Southern New England !!! Far BETTER that others, like the Cape Cod Rail Trail.... (that one is NOT as scenic, except for a few areas) .... Or the Blackstone path that is quite Hilly in spots..... And The East Bay path offers plenty of "food & drink" spots along the way ..... There is even 2 Bike shops along side the path 👌👍

Don't feel too bad about the flat tire with no patch and pump. I recently had a cut into the sidewall from a rock that I couldn't fix with a patch. Call it what you will, stuff just happens you can't do anything about.

  • @MommyOf4Gyrls

Hubby and I are traveling over to RI tomorrow to do this trail. Looking forward to it.

    Ebikes are simply motorcycles.

Sorry to hear about your tire I assume everything worked out and you came back together safely. Beautiful ride and the sailboats were a joy to look at on this video. Still thinking about a ride through Europe?

This trail looks awesome. I need to look up where it is exactly and hopefully ride it someday. Thanks for sharing another nice trail.

Nice, scenic views! Although… your flat tire experience made me think about my own situation. I never travel with a patch kit or anything…hmmm…

Where do you guys live? I noticed that you do a lot of videos (which are really great) in the eastern U.S.

I'm in a conundrum....watch the vid for the ride or whatever you're partaking of for lunch!!!! I'm kinda glad you had that flat and videoed it as we are gonna do the North Bend Trail starting the 17th.....and yes I will get some stuff for the tires and have a big a$$ed flashlight so Nancy doesn't get scared in the Haunted Tunnels!!!! Great vid, keep em coming.

  • @here_we_go_again2571

Well ..... That was an adventure! (sorry about the flat tire)

Hey, great to see you guys back in Rhode island again! Too bad about the flat, but at least you were pretty close to the end of the ride. Slime and Flat Out are probably the two most popular tire sealants. I'm not sure if Flat Out has a version for tires with inner tubes though. I know slime does so that's what I use. In my experience it will get you home but you'll still have to fix or replace the tube later.

I think it will happen to us at one time. I rode on my own today and when I pulled in the garage my pedal fell off. My husband came out and said it was stripped???

  • @cherylnewell9912

Do you do this full time? Or weekends?

  • @pedrofernandez8729

How did you muster up the energy to ride after that scrumptious meal you had?
