Old 8mm film conversation to digital of Tuolumne Westside Lumber Narrow Gauge Railroad tourist train, which was all torn out sometime in the mid 1980’s. @SierraRailway
Just one season? I guess I didn't realize just how lucky I was!!! Somewhere in the 1970s I rode that pike. I remember talk of great plans to run it all the way to the Tahoe Airport. Saw the Locomotive again at Railfair '99 and heard it had been kept at Georgetown CA (sorta near Placerville), but apparently it is somewhere in the midwest. As I kid, it was a steam locomotive and -- like all of its brethren -- it was HUGE. Today, looking at the films, she's a dink!
That’s all there was from my father’s 8mm rolls. Go to my Roaring Camp Railroad video and you’ll get to see one of their steam engines that was originally from the Westside Railroad fully restored and used daily…
Very rare film, surprisingly pristine.
So cool man
*West Side Lumber Co., Westside & Cherry Valley Railway (West Side & Cherry… very briefly)
Early 1970s, not the 60s.
Tahoe, Trout Creek and Pacific RR. Owned by Bob Keller. Ran only one season near Tahoe.

Really happy she is still working at Roaring Camp & Big Trees in Felton, CA!
that is some excellent footage, thanks for sharing.
Where was the TT&CP RR? What did the initials stand for?
So cool, any more of it?

That must have been when the founder of Taco Bell had a dream for Westside. Sorry it was so short lived.
