No Trailer Running Lights - FIXED

- All the sudden, no trailer running lights or tail lights, whats going on?
It could be a number of different things, it could be something with your truck, it could be the trailer connector on your truck, or your trailer, it also could be the wiring on your trailer.
So many possibilities you have to start some where.
I started with my truck, measure the voltage on the trailer connector, with your truck on and the lights on, look for voltage on the running lights pins.
If you don't have any voltage, you probably have a blown fuse.
Its just a step by step process.

Just now seeing this message... LOL - Well I do appreciate you stopping by and giving me your opinion as always! lol
Thank you for sharing your diagnosis on this issue. I was curious was it wire rubbing that exposed the sleeve of the copper and do you think you could put loom over the wire in the section that you found it grounding out?
Nice video, thanks.
I do think over time it wore thru rubbing, I did put electrical tape around it since its all I had on hand. That was a strange find, and it can be hard to find also. Thanks for commenting my friend, I appreciate you!
Sir I really appreciate what you’ve been showing us thanks for time I really learned a lot today thanks 👍
I really appreciate you stopping by watching and commenting! Im glad you enjoy the videos my friend!
Check my vote meter and I got 12 volts on the pin from the vehicle to the trailer and it's good. I connected the connection for the trailer and I went into the trailer and cut the wire and checked the wire and I got 12 V but when I reconnected it to the system, none of the running lights were working.????
Then I took one of the lights and brought it to the trailer connector on the vehicle, and try to make a connection in the light would not turn on. Is it possible to measure 12 V but actually not have the power to run the lights?
I have a simple 4 pin wiring. It's a tiny little trailer.
That does make it easy lol thanks for commenting
Are you sure the bulbs are good? It’s possible the bulbs need replacing. Check that first. Then if they are good bulbs, check the ground, be sure you have a good ground
@@MyGreenLawn2019 I can't see the bulbs they're sealed but I put a tester on the terminals and I have Continuity so I think the bulbs are good.
Didint follow not for newbies .
Sorry if the video was confusing
