An eventful day at Stobhall. One lost, sliced my finger, Roan got bored and went home. Salmon Fishing, Atlantic Salmon Fishing, Scottish Salmon Fishing, Fly Fishing
Hard day . Son went home , lost one and got bit by the drone . Some very interesting geology on the river .Time to go home and reassess 🥃 Thanks for the video
Thanks, I think it looks good. Hoping to get a take on the fly with it. Gutted we lost that fish but that's the way it goes. Hopefully not like last year's run I lost ten fish before June.
Some depth of water in that pool. Shame you never landed that one. Good that you are seeing fish moving. I'm loving the drone footage this year. I'm hoping to encounter some silver on Saturday on the beauly. Tight lines for the next trip.
Good luck on Saturday. It's some place, nice just to experience it. Certainly encouraging when you're seeing one or two. Hoping to get one taking the fly from above with the drone. That'll take a fair bit of time though.
@Scottish Outdoor Life that will be amazing to get one taking the fly from above with the drone hope you can get that this year. Might try my luck on the Tay this year will give you a shout if I do.
Lovely stretch of water. Is the river a bit low for this time of your or just about normal? Unlucky with your fish. You can add the disclaimer that "No fish were harmed during the making of this film". That'll keep the Green party happy!
It's a fantastic place to fish. It was probably a little over average height then but for that pool another two feet and a few degrees colder would've been better.
Better to be out fishin and lose one then sittin on you butt lookin at a computor watchin other guys fish waitin for May 15 come along lol so i can get after the silver devils,.Nice river ours are alot smaller but can run pretty deep.
@@steviewalk how did you end up giving away public river rights to rich assholes?? oh shit...yeah you're scottish..you still live in your mom;s basement...lol.. (that's a reference to not growing up leaving the queen btw)
I don't know how it came about but it's the way it is and works to a certain extent. I must admit its hard on the working man at prime time as the cost is high but there's still good fishing to be found at reasonable money throughout the season.
@@bsdgffishtuna5186 I am Canadian. I live in Canada. I have never given away fishing rights to rich people, assholes or otherwise.i left home after medical school and have had a long, interesting and successful career. None of my four children has ever lived in my basement. Here, I can fish 292 licensed salmon rivers, some world class, for just under $20 per season. No need for me to go to Scotland to fish- although sometimes I do from choice. I was born in Scotland and still love visiting there. Good luck with your life Bigfish. May all your ponds be small. 😉

Hi Jamea. Nice to get a bit of advice from him now. I should pay more attention. A lot of the days he's the one to catch something 🤣👍
Gillies face says it all . No tip today
Yeah he was gutted, we both were but that's the cards we're dealt unfortunately.
How'd you go about booking a days fishing at Stobhall?
Speak to Atholl Sporting katrina@athollsporting.co.uk and they'll let you know of availability. Thanks for watching 👍
Some amount of water moving through that pool looks well fishy, just a pitty that one never stuck next time.
Hi Yes, it's a fantastic place to fish. It's always enjoyable just going there. A very intimidating place when you're close to the main chute.
@@scottishoutdoorlife Yeah looks it just watched again and hearing those depths hundred odd foot in places wow.

Good morning is that Ernie the gillie that worked Burnmouth in the mid to late eighties did he have a black lab ?
Hi thanks for watching. Yes it will be, he's been on that part of the River for verlong time.
Now chance a hundred foot 💩 pool
Sorry I don't understand the comment?
im from BC; is it true you all need to pay some rich guy to fish on a river??
If you're very lucky. Most good beats have waiting lists.
Hi thanks for watching, dome of the stretches are expensive but there are also a lot of angling clubs which only have a small annual fee.
