  • LEGO is expected to release tons of space-related sets in 2024, so I decided to use the Anycubic Kobra 2 Max 3D printer and upgrade the 10283 NASA Space Shuttle Discovery for this occasion!

    Hi, Geckobricks here. I'm so happy to hear you like the rocket booster kit and thank you for taking the time to make a video on the product. I've personally been a fan of your channel for a while so I was pleasantly surprised to see the SRB kit in my youtube feed! If anyone needs any help printing one of their own, do feel free to reach out on the download page.

      Do you think that Polyterra Sunrise Orange would be a better color match for the tank?

    • @GeckoBricksUK
      @GeckoBricksUK Před 7 měsíci

      I think that sunrise orange could look good, its a much more traditional bright orange by the look of it. I would also recommend Copymaster3D Premium PLA Rust Copper which you can still find online in some stores@@fdavpach

    This is an interesting case where Lego could have made the brick container that is also a part - imagine if the tube of the huge tank was actually a single piece being the container for the whole set similar to those of Bionicle/Roboriders sets tube packaging. The tank could have been two piece tube with pointy screwed in top containing all the bricks for the shuttle and boosters. But it potentially would need to be made bigger in diameter because of that if the pieces wouldn't fit.

    Well the speed number is pure marketing. The speed could theoretically print at that speed, and the motor movement would allow it to go above 1000mm^2 but the filament has to melt fast enough for the material to be able to exit the extruder. There are high flow nozzles, but its hard to print at a very high speed

  • @SimoneChiaretta
    @SimoneChiaretta Před 7 měsíci

    I agree, with the fuel tank and rockets it’s much iconic. Maybe Lego should have a done mini scale version of the Shuttle with all pieces together to solve the 8k piece count that this scale would have needed.

      WTF are you talking about? What do you think "technology" means? Electric motors are technology and in nearly everything. Absolutely baffling how someone could be ignorant enough to think smartphones was the first technology in rural countries. Even third world countries have crazy industries rebuilding older tech. Even the Amish modify electric tech to run on compressed air and steam.

Seems that taking advantage of the higher subscriber count instead of doing these videos on your Gadget Reviews channel didn't matter after all.
