    Over and above a controlled diet. Here is what I take for supplements:
    Whey Isolate
    Creatine
    Fish Oil
    L-carnitine
    Calcium+Zinc
    Multivitamins
    I haven't felt the need of getting pre-workout because my workouts are pretty stable right now.

      @@TheJitsGuy Yes, thank you. I have been watching and reading a lot about NMN and NADH specially after I read Dr.David Sinclair's book on slowing down the aging process. :)

    If I may add a supplement, NAC (N-acytel-cysteine) it's a precursor for glutathione a potent antioxidant, also a great nootropic and shown to fight off anxiety to a great deal, and one of its main functions is it's a liver detoxifier, in case you're doing an Açaì cycle 😉

      Thanks for that Chadi! I actually researched great IV boutiques that have a whole plan based around that 👍 Osssss

      Thanks Mo! Glad you enjoyed that. Most of these supplements I take a single dose worth daily. Either in the morning or before training.

    Thanks for a great video. Where does BCAA fit in all of this? Is it found in any of these products and/or is there no need for BCAA supplement if someone takes these supplements.

    • @TheJitsGuy
      @TheJitsGuy  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Ghassan, thanks for the comment! Actually, I have found BCAA to simply be expensive urine 👀 certain brands like Xtend are good and taste great but can easily be replaced by a good meal plan. I find protein macronutrient quantity far more important than BCAA. If I would rank it in importance that would be number 25 in a list of top 25 😜

      @@TheJitsGuy I have only been using it for a week now same amount of time I got back into BJJ. So its hard to tell right now what effects its having. I added it to the other supplements which I was already talking for a long time because I heard John Machado say he recommends it to his students. I am in my 40s now so I need all the help I can get to stay healthy and keep rolling.
      I am definitely going to look into the other ones you mentioned. So thx for that.

      I usually take all my supplements in the morning but the NADH right before training and if I’m feeling a bit sluggish I’ll take an extra COQ10 /PQQ with the NADH prior to rolling :)

    @GiveMeTheMic22 Před 3 lety +1

    Multi vitamins 🤷‍♂️

    • @TheJitsGuy
      @TheJitsGuy  Před 3 lety

      To be honest, most Multivitamins are worthless and don’t contain anywhere near the adequate doses of health changing vitamins and minerals. I instead have a list of specific vitamins and minerals I consume daily as per a professional endocrinologist’s recommendation and doing blood work every 4 weeks.
      The items I listed in this video far supersede the benefits of any multivitamin and paired with a healthy lifestyle will give you real changes.
      (Check how much vitamin B1,6,12 are in your multivitamin and you’ll be surprised how much lower it is that what the body thrives on - not considering if you have a genetic defect in MTHFR which leads to natural deficiency and inability to digest unmethylated folate.)
      Hope this helps!
