I’m not going to Chipotle or the cafeteria. I bring in my own food from home and save even more. The nurses I work with sometimes go to Starbucks TWICE in one shift. That’s just insane to me. I’ll have Starbucks when I’m on vacation and not when I’m working.
I work for pepsi and i have to eat out of my car. I saved so much money by prepping my meal and not eaitng out. You could easily spend a thousdand or two every month with prices now.
Every year ask for a discount from your cable provider. If you’re always on time with payments and or are a long time customer, you can negotiate a lot more than 4 cents lol. My parents were paying less than 60 dollars for cable and they would upgrade the internet without increasing the price because they were trying to get everyone on the new towers. Just before moving to a new state the cable provider begged us to stay and even offered a discount and maintain the price if not match …. in an entirely different state.
Everyone lives paycheck to paycheck and it’s just some people can afford more bills. It doesn’t matter how you budget. If you miss one or two paychecks you’re screwed.
I am so glad you figured out saving/investing so young. With your job security, a nurse can be a millionaire by 10-15 years. I am new to your channel so I don't know your current investments/debt. But just make sure you get a good financial advisor to help plot it out for you. I am happy for you.
Retiree again: I'm so proud of you that you're thinking like this in sharing the information. You're young and as you continue to mature you will see where you could have saved so much much more and it's such a wise thing to be doing your investment and realizing your responsibility to your child without your child being a burden. One thing: think about how many hours in a day that you have to be dealing with the streaming and looking at movies and all. If you're working how can you have so much time to be looking at videos that much? You could eliminate most of those streaming services. But again, you're young and I pray for you and I know you are praying for you! Keep on being intelligent - - and humble!
Your wife need to get rid of her music if she is at home, it’s FREE channels for your child to watch and pick one or the other for you Hulu or Netflix..
Love it! I appreciate hearing this, and i am motivated to take a peek at where my money is going. I have a 401k, but.i should put a couple or few percents more in. I cannot wait till my student loan is done. I think a few more years on that. I flubbed on my car I bought last year. But its done now. And fill up my savings account every possible opportunity. I nickel and dime myself with door dash and amazon and shoes. Dang.
Doing good. Just know this…there are pilots that don’t take their families on trips out of the country. There is so much to do in the us that frankly I have no idea …other than family…why people leave the us. And I mean for trips…not talkin leaving cause of politics. We got so much variety here that there is nothing to lust after in another country.
I have no idea why I was suggested this video, but I watched it anyways ;-) I really support your attitude and your will to stay modest, supportive and sensible. It also doesn't suck when you have to do something different and have a vision and goals and pursue them. Only people that adapt to new stuff evolve themselves. Go on.
Fritz, apologies if I came across as introducing. First off, your responsibility as a father is not negotiable its your job. Every paycheck 3 bucket s, 50% to your fixed costs, 30% to saving and investing and the 20% is concise spending. Do not play the stock market. Put your investment into low cost index funds. If you put $200 per month Every month never touch the money you are playing the long game. If you use compounding power of time at 5% over 20 years see how much you actually have. Do the math. I would not do that. I pay for the gym membership now and never touch the HSA. My financial advisor is making me pay for everything out of pocket now and stack that HSA until retirement. That’s when you need or have more medical expenses. I have over $20k in my HSA
Automate your kids 529, even if just a small amount per month. If you trying to retire early invest outside of your 401k to make it possible. Again small amount first then build up as budget allows. As you said, pay yourself first. Keep at it!

I would suggest paying annually on your subscriptions, you wont save a ton but every dollar matters.
I skip a few hair appointments and unnecessary things to make sure I’m taking care of what’s important.

Too many streaming services. Just keep one and rid the rest. You can invest the difference. I’m a nurse my self. I just watch CZcams the wall or read
Lmaoooo bro you said the wall had me weak 😂🤣
Everyone has an opinion about how you should budget your money. Thank you for your transparency.
Absolutely!!!
Thank you, Fritz!! You are authentic and for real!! You inspired me to make and keep a budget!!!

NY cost of living is tuff here to! Best thing you can do is take on a roommate off load the coast of housing. If your single.
How do you budget the 300 I just use my debit card that has like 50k .. I think I’ll open a new debit card just for me to b on a budget
Definitely open a new one and set a side a smaller amount for what you actually need within a week to survive.
Have you thought about trading in your car for something less expensive used car?(not luxary)
The car payment and car insurance are high costs😅.
I would’ve done that but I paid it off already so I’m just driving it until the wheels fall off 😂

My electric is $350-$450. I live in FL

No but we get a pension 😃
@@fritzgabriel1995can explain more about the pension thing? Is it a NY thing? Do they pay based on the years you work for them or what?
Man I still got to figure that out we just got it January so it still in the works but we did almost strike for it.
I think I misunderstood too. Are you paying child support to your current wife?
Lmaoooo I call it that but it’s not actually real child support. I just prioritize the money they need
