Ukraine has gone toe to toe with the second largest military in the world with access to huge Soviet equipment stockpiles for over 2 years now. They've accomplished this with one arm tied behind their backs by their allies and constant ammunition, equipment, and air support shortages. In this situation I'd say they are absolutely kicking Russia's butt. They give ground rather than waste their manpower. They will win this war.

Well, let's be fare, Ukraine had great stockpiles of ex-Soviet weaponry as well. There was just some perverted image that Western media painted for their audience, depicting Ukraine as some miserable and unarmed state... Until the late 2022 Ukrainian armed forces fought off Russians using their own weaponry (except for some Javellins, NLAWs and Stinger manpads - but Ukrainian analogues of those aren't much worse).
Russia ex soviet weapons are a finite resource .
The west is slow in reacting .

@@CakeofWisdomyou can skewer Haig for losses, but the guy actually got results, his units were actually innovating tactically, and new tech was also coming into use in the war like now and as ever, the tactical and strategic realities sort of dictate much of warfare. Russians now are worse than the Czarist Russian Army ever was, at least in the modern era. To just throw away battalions, brigades, divisions was considered criminal both in terms of the men but also the state. The Czars at least nominally believed they would have to answer to God. Putin merely pretends to be an Orthodox Christian, IME.
