- Today we visit the John D. MacArthur Beach State Park in Palm Beach County, Florida. We plan to kayak to and explore Munyon Island and Little Munyon Island. We also do a little bit of snorkeling at the beach. John D. MacArthur Beach State Park, named for John D. MacArthur whose Foundation donated a portion of the land for its construction in the 1970s and is located in North palm Beach Florida. We arrived at the kayak launch area about 9 am. We unloaded our kayaks and set out on our adventure. We planned to visit both Munyon Island and little Munyon Island and explore the surrounding areas. Entrance to the park is $5 per vehicle. The park is open 365 days year, 8 a.m. until sundown.

There is an island called "Peanut Island about 5 miles south of Munyon you may see in other videos. Yes, as @mrsKayak7seas stated any body of water in Florida will likely have an alligator, although you might not see them. In the next video we run across a few while kayaking. Hope you'll enjoy it and hope all is well with you.

@@Kayak7seas Not much for hiking, but you can kayak non-stop. Looks like that park was pretty limited.
During low tide you can walk half way back thru the mangrove tunnels. Munyon island is such a cool place to hang out.
