- Florida shelling Palm Beach was everything I was hoping it would be. The shelling over here on the West Coast is traditionally slow in the summer and after a rather slow day in Sanibel I decided to head East to Palm Beach. I had to drive 6 hours, but it was worth it.
I have been wanting to head back East for some shelling, and shelling Palm Beach was just as fun as I had hoped. I didn't find great big piles of shells, but what I did find were a couple new-to-me shells and some shells I can't identify. I love a good mystery!
I think Florida shelling might be the best bet to find great beach finds and I'm having a great time sharing my beach adventures with others who can't get here or are planning an upcoming visit. Either way, I'm happy to call Florida my home and share all the shells I'm finding while I'm beachcombing here in Florida.

I'm based in the UK and have a really stressful job supporting vulnerable children. Your videos are such an invaluable relaxation tool for me after work and I love being able to escape to the beach with you. Just wanted to drop a quick message to say thank you for helping without even knowing. Once it's the summer holidays, hopefully I'll finally be able to go to the beach myself and find some pretty shells 😊
Thank you so much for this comment. It's so rewarding knowing that I can entertain and relax someone with my beach walks. I thoroughly enjoy what I'm doing and it makes me beyond happy knowing that I'm actually helping someone along the way. I hope during your summer holiday you can get out there and find some shells for yourself too beach friend!
God Bless You for all you do
UK here too. Let's go shelling
‘I’m keeping it anyway’ I look forward to hearing you say that every week! 😂 😃
Sometimes I just can't help myself! Thanks so much for watching!
Yeah Scotch Bonnets! It was so much fun to see shells that I’ve never seen before. I like the thorny oysters, and spectral bittersweets. Thank you for taking me to the beach - it’s my happy place! ❤️
I'm excited for you! I grew up on the Alabama gulf coast and as a child, I was on the beach shelling from sunrise to sunset. If I could just do that just one more time before I pass. I'm a stroke survivor, but paralyzed on my entire left side, so I can't walk. I was lucky to be right handed. I really enjoy watching you.
My mother was wheelchair bound and I dreamed of taking her to the beach before she passed. She didn't make it down here to Florida with us, but I'm always thinking of those that might not be as mobile and I am, and believe me, I am so beyond grateful that I am able to walk and get to the beaches I do. I know not everyone has the same luxury. I will continue to share my beach walks and I hope you come along with me! XOXO
That ring though…….for some reason these videos are both educational and relaxing.
Glad you like them! Thank you!!
Congratulations on finding the Scotch Bonnets!
Thank you! I was so happy that I was rewarded for my trip. :)
You have given me a new "Bucket List" shell! I'm in love with the Thorny Oysters, and the Leafy Jewel box, so very pretty! I can't believe how different the West coast is from the East coast, so interesting. Thank you for taking us along on your road trip!
The colors on those thorny oysters are stunning! And I LOVE that leafy jewel box I found. It really is amazing how different the beaches are just a few hours away! 🐚
@@SWFBeachLife …Last fall, I bought a leafy jewelbox from a seashell business in the Philippines, they called it a “chama” and it’s a pretty yellow like that. Another one I really wanted from him was one just like you found, but it was over $60 and he wasn’t budging on the price-it was still smaller than yours! I am from PA and it’s hard to get to FL, but I’m thrilled to find out we have them here, too! If I ever make it down to that beach and find one, I’ll be thrilled. It was super fun to go shelling with you and watch you find that one and the other fun ones-the thorny oysters and lion’s paw, etc. It’d do anything to live in FL where I can shell to my heart’s content. It is absolutely medicinal for me due to extremely stressful circumstances. Thank you for the work you put into these videos. You do my heart good.
This is really awesome I really like how you found the shelves and don’t advertise any ads. I really gain tired of them and wait.
Love seeing new types of shells, what a great shelling day!
Me too! I was hoping for a bunch of those pretty bittersweets and to find so many scotch bonnets was awesome! Thanks for coming along!
Those are beautiful shells too. Especially the bonnet. wow.
I wish I was there on the beach myself looking for shells. I could do that all day. Thanks for sharing took me back.
You are so very welcome. My favorite beaches are empty too!
Love love love those bittersweets. I’d like to see you turn them over to see the thick edge of them.😃
What great finds!!
Absolutely love your enthusiasm and joy for shelling! My favorites were the thorny oysters and scotch bonnets. P.S. Your ring is beautiful. :)
Oh thank you! I was so happy to have found such great finds! Those scotch bonnets were awesome!
Love the bonnets ❤ what wonderful finds today.
Your videos helped make our vacation to the Ft Myers area fantastic!!! Thank you for teaching us so much about shelling!
You are so very welcome! I'm glad you had a fantastic time when you came to my neck of the woods!
I follow a guy who shells over in palm beach and he always finds such interesting shells. I have been wondering the last few years if I should go while I am down there. You have convinced me that next time I am down there, I will go.
There is a guy I follow on IG that also finds cool shells in Palm Beach but he never shares what beach he's on! I will keep trying different beaches and sharing all the goodies I find :)
@@SWFBeachLife The guy I follow is also on IG and won’t share either. It’s probably the same guy. I look forward to your next adventures on the East Coast side.
This Beach has been on my list ! I was Thrilled to visit the Juno Pier..More pretty caramel colored Bittersweets ! And when the tide went out..Bonnie's were easy to see ! Thank you ..great video !!
I'll probably make the trip back over there one of these days. It was nice to see a new beach and even better to find such treasures!
Very exciting-shells I’ve never seen before!👍👍👍
Holy road trip! I’m just watching this and my jaw dropped and my eyes were scanning as many shells as I could in those shell piles in awe! So interesting to see something new and those bonnets! I’m the same way with keeping pieces of shells too! I have no answers for the mystery shells but hopefully someone will! Great video this week and I’m going to watch it again, so interesting to learn about shells I’ve never seen before in SWF!
The summer shelling over here can be quite slow so I was happy just to see shells, and then to find such awesome ones was truly a treat. Those scotch bonnets were awesome! I'm hoping the incoming storm will bring me a few goodies too!
Loved all of it, especially the scotch bonnets. I'm from South Texas and our island is South Padre and I've had luck but not like you, those are rare indeed.
I've been waiting a very long time to find some decent Scotch Bonnets - I was so happy to find a few! Thanks so much for watching!
So beautiful and peaceful. 🤗
Yes it was! And I got a bunch of fantastic Scotch Bonnets to bring home as souvenirs!
What a score!!!! I was so thrilled for you! I wanted to share something with you that a great shelling friend of mine taught me; If you have a shell that is chipped or worn, you can use a fingernail file to file it into shape. 😉
I'll have to remember that if I find something I'm questioning whether to keep or not :) I do put the broken ones to the side to use in projects I might try to tackle in the future :)
What a COLLAGE of 🐚🐚🐚🐚BEAUTY & SHAPES wish I could afford to LIVE there!
I'm so lucky to live where I do! It was a hike to get to the East Coast - but still doable. There are so many gorgeous Florida beaches to explore!
Lots of awesome finds. Thanks so much for taking us along on your treasure hunts.
It's truly my pleasure! Thanks so much for watching and coming along!
I still prefer Hallandale Beach Florida more it’s a beautiful city with a growing communities and businesses and a good nightlife.🇺🇸❤
So exciting finding those Scotch Bonnets! One day I hope to find one too.
It really was! I hope one day you find yours too!
Absolutely love this video...Great finds on this trip. Thanks for the drive and the walk.
I was definitely rewarded for my efforts :) Thanks for coming along with me!
Omg I watch a guy in Australia and he finds bonnets and cowrie all the time I get so jealous lol
I watch him too!!!
Yeah I think we watch the same guy he finds bonnet after bonnets and cowrie.
The guy that mentions to wear shoes and has gloves on a lot? Apparently a lot of poisonous things hide under the rocks over there! Ahh!
I watch him too! Those bonnets are huge and so colorful. I keep hoping I’ll win the monthly giveaway. 🤣 And those cowries he gets!!!
@@lauram5195 I followed him and like all his videos thinking maybe he’ll pick me 😂
The yellow leafy jewel box is exquisite!
Someone had emailed me about a corrugated jewel box, which I happened to remember that I found on Captiva. I mentioned in the email that I had found an awesome leafy jewel box so without even referencing the video, I know that gorgeous yellow one you are referring to. It's in my special collection "box" of goodies!
Scotch Bonnet Day!! Woo Hoo! Love those. Actually, I loved everything you found. The Lion's Paw shells I would love to find. Lions are my favorite big cat. Great day! Thanks for letting me tag along!! 😊
I got super lucky in the Scotch Bonnet department for sure! I was so happy :) Thanks for coming along with me!
At the Jersey shore right this minute! Love your videos! We’ll be down there to buy in the next month. Can’t wait to explore more than normal! ♥️ 🐚 🏖 🌴
@@charissescully5893 I hope you love it as much as I do! 🌴
Yayyyyy you found some great shells, especially love the scotch bonnets!!! Thanks for taking us on another lovely trip!!!
You are so welcome! Thanks so much for watching!
So glad you got to go to that beach!! I loved it there!
That beach is a quite a workout to walk! I got my exercise and shells at the same time - LOL!
Jackpot. Enjoyed your fines.
You are so committed to drive 3 hours and still make it before the park opened. So glad that you had the whole place to yourself and found some bucket items.
Congratulations on making it to almost 11K, your channel is steadily growing. I love to end my days watching your videos as they are so relaxing. Thank you for filming for those of us who don't get to the beach often enough.
When I first started beach walking down here I was so enthralled by all the things I found at the beach. I would scour CZcams looking for beach videos - I never knew that I'd one day be the one to share the beaches and all the goodies I find! Life has been good to me and so happy I can share my beach love with others :)
The scotch bonnet is a bucket list shell for me as well. Have yet to find one. Cool find for you!!!
I’ve been searching for quite a while - I was ecstatic! I hope you find yours one of these days! 🐚
I remember my first Scotch bonnet too! I feel you! Mine was Blind Pass, Captiva side at low tide. I think i screamed! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
😂 Scotch Bonnets deserve a scream! I was beside myself finding so many in just a few hours!
@@SWFBeachLife I'm actually still watching and I commented before I was done - you keep finding them!! Dang girl! woot!! I was on South Padre this winter and found many broken parts of HUGE ones... so sad. Never a whole one.
@@TravelingTreasureFinder So frustrating!! I got super lucky. The shells in this side of the state are playing hide and seek and so far they are winning 😅
@@SWFBeachLife I will put this beach on my list - I will be in Florida this winter so I can't wait to check out this beach!😊👏🏻❤️
All the shells are gorgeous! I Love that dark orange Thorny Oyster! The Bitterweet Clams, yes!...back to shelling... 🐚
I loved shelling after hurricanes when I was a kiddo living in Lauderdale … w Palm, Boca 👍🏻
Post hurricane shelling is awesome! The whole hurricane-stress thing isn't so fun but once the panic is over, the beach is the best place to treasure hunt.
Beautiful shells
Love watching these videos. So relaxing!
Beautiful colors!!
Such great information! Putting it on our list for our next visit to Florida 🐚
I really enjoy your videos. Informative and fun❤
Thank you so much!
Merry Christmas ! I Had to watch this again ! I'll be there in about 30 days. Yes..lots of Bonnets !
I'd like to go back to this beach next summer. It's not an easy walk, but so worth it!
Awsome shells!!!
I love watching your videos, maybe one day, I will make it to that side of the US again.
I hope you do. It's beautiful and sometime you can find free souvenirs!
Oh snap! You were in my neck of the woods. How fun!!
So many cool shells over on your side of the state!
@@SWFBeachLife 😂 I think the same about your side. I’m glad the states small enough that I can drive and reach either side. ☺️
@@katjones4840 Agreed! ☺️
Awesome shells! Congrats on finding bucket list shells too! TFS!
You are so welcome! I was truly rewarded for my efforts :)
Loves this adventure today and seeing some new shells. Thank you for sharing. Happy 4th!
Happy 4th to you too! I was so happy with all the goodies I found :)
Amazing to see some different shells you found there. Really cool finds there!
I was happy to just see shells! And to find good ones was so rewarding :) I had a great time and was so happy with the goodies I found!
You were in my neighborhood! Glad you found some Scotch Bonnets. That beach is so nice. Hope you find you Horse Conch after 6 ft waves with Elsa and True Tulips and ........😊
I hope Elsa leaves me some goodies too! I'll be out there bright and early. Well, maybe not bright - but definitely early!
Awesome Day!!!!! My heart stops when I find bucket list shells! Congrats!!!!🎉
Thank you!!! I would have been happy with just one scotch bonnet but to find all those goodies was so awesome!
Your videos are the highlight of my week. Thanks for taking me somewhere new.
You are so very welcome - thank you so much for coming along with me!
So cool to get an idea of what is on the east coast - making a list of places that I want to go!! Thanks so much for sharing!! ((Shell hugs))
So many beautiful shells 🐚 Thank you so much for the trip😍🤩🐚
You are so very welcome!
So happy to see many new shells! And Scotch Bonnets are especially cute🥰
It was such a great trip! Thanks for coming along!
Hi my beach friend,
What a great haul! Seeing you finding new types of shells and hearing your enthusiasm makes me so happy!
I really love the Scotch bonnets and Leafy jewel boxes 😍 They are gorgeous! And a great addition to your expanding collection.
I had to Google the Queen helmet. What a gorgeous shell. It would be a blast if you had found a complete one.
I think you were quite tired after this long day plowing through the sand and driving for so 6 hours.
But the reward is amazing!
Wishing you a wonderful week, hope you will have an amazing shelling trip (maybe go out with your kayak?) and see you next Sunday.
Lots of love and hugs from the Netherlands xoxo ❤
One of these days I'd like to make it down to The Keys to look for Queen Helmets. It's over a 4-hour drive, so its a bit more than a day trip for me. The summer is harder to kayak because it always seems to rain in the afternoon and I like to pick a day when I can be out there for hours and not worry about lightning! I'd like to kayak down in the 10,000 islands again - so many things to do here!
Hope you have a great week too my Netherlands Beach Friend! xoxoxo
@@SWFBeachLife
I know that there are tropical storms this time of year, but I didn't know that it would rain most afternoons during summertime.
Can totally understand that you don't want to be with your kayak on open water when there are thunderstorms! Well, then the kayak have to wait until storm season is over. 😉
Hunting for Queen Helmets sounds like a lot of fun, but also some more preparation because you have to stay overnight somewhere. Maybe, in the future😘
Well, I've seen better days. I'm a bit under the weather. Have a lot of medical problems and on top of that having an abces with high fever.
Your video's are my escape from my bed, while enjoying the amazing ocean and gorgeous shells.🤩
Have a lovely week my beach friend! Xoxo ❤
@@ilonamollema6467 Oh sweet beach friend I sure hope you feel better soon. Hugs from Florida! ❤️🌴
@@SWFBeachLife Thank you, that is so kind of you!❤
Such different shells, from one coast to the other. Beautiful
I know - it's crazy! I wonder if the shelling gets "slow" on the East Coast in the summer the way it does here...
Fabulous shelling! The scotch bonnets are wonderful and those colorful oysters. Gorgeous! Thanks for the heads up about this beach.
You are so welcome! Just keep in mind it's LOTS of walking and that soft sand makes it harder to walk.
Thank you for the awesome Atlintic side adventure! Great finds..glad you kept the cowrie..the helmet pieces were pretty great too! The bonnets were outstanding! Happy 4th and thank you for taking us with you!
Glad you enjoyed it - I sure did! It was definitely worth the trip and I was so happy I managed to find such great shells to add to my collection!
I love the olives!
Ive been going back and watching the older videos. I mentioned to my husband that you had an accent that sounded northern. We always wondered and you answered here by saying NJ 😂
Yeah...I escaped NJ for the warmer FL. I loved being able to swim, ski, hike, fish all in the same state (NJ), but the taxes, the cold and the ornery people we left behind make us quite happy here! 🌴🌊🐚
Love the Scotch Bonnets and everything you found.
Me too!! Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you so much for making this drive, and for making a video on it! I'll definitely be watching it over and over, and hopefully, next time we're in Florida we can check out the Atlantic coast! Those scotch bonnets were phenomenal, and it's almost more fun to watch people find shells like these than to collect them myself! Thank you for this awesome video, have a great night! See you next Sunday!
It's quite slow over here in the summer as far as finding shells goes so even if I travel a bit and don't find much, I enjoy checking out a new area and a new beach. I was definitely rewarded for my efforts this time! Thanks so much for coming along with me Jack!
I really love the scotch bonnets and the designs on the bittersweets. What a great walk, thank you!!😊🐬
Thank you! 😊 It was so nice exploring a totally different type of beach. 🌴
Congrats on the Scotch Bonnets! Beautiful finds, all around!
Thanks a bunch! I was so happy to have made the trip and was definitely rewarded for my effort :)
It was so worth the 6 hours of driving. Love the scotch bonnets, thorny oysters, lions paw, and I think you called a shell a Pennsylvania lucerne. My ears pricked up cause I'm from PA. The range of colors those thorny oysters have are awesome. Deep red and even a yellow one. It was a great trip.
You hit it right on the head! It was a long trip home in the rain, but it was so worth it. The Scotch Bonnets, that leafy jewel box and the color thorny oysters were awesome! Even those common bittersweets are delightful to see. It was a fun trip - thanks so much for coming along with me!
Another great day!! Thinking that this is my new favorite video 🤩
Thanks Natalie! I'm happy to bring you along with me and share all the goodies I find!
Another great shelling today oh how I love the bonnets ❤️🐚🐚
Me too!! I was so happy to have found a few to add to my collection!
I am visiting my mom in Palm Bay for a couple of months and watched your video on 12/31/2021. I was inspired and went to the park on 1/1/2022.
The beach was packed!
I found a bucket full of colorful shells -thorny oysters, scotch bonnets , bittersweet clams, turkey wings, and lions paws. Much to my delight, a snorkeler gave me two lettered olives!!!
The waves break fiercely and quickly and the walk to the beach was a lot for my 82 year old mom but the tram ride back at the end of the day was a relief.
Thank you for the video! It inspired a wonderful New Year’s Day outing.
That beach is a very tough walk - kudos to your mom for making it all the way there and walking about. It sounds like you had some amazing finds! I'm a little jealous of your loin's paws - I just LOVE them and we don't get them on this side of the state as much. I'm so glad you got out there and found yourself some great souvenirs!
Congratulations on the Scotch Bonnets! What a fun road trip, and you really hit the timing perfect to have the beach to yourself.
The only thing better than finding shells is finding them on an empty beach! I hate feeling like I have to speed along to make sure someone else doesn't find all the "good stuff." LOL!
Fab shelling day, the Scotch Bonnet shells are so lovely and a great find. I really enjoyed this video, and seeing all the new shells.
Thank you! I was hoping to just find some shells since it's been so slow over here on the West Coast but boy was I happy with all the goodies I found! Thanks for coming along with me!
My daughter was just in Fort Laudable for 10 days ,I told her to go to this beach but she didn’t,I think she would have found shells. We traveled to Jensons Beach and the beach was full of people but no one was picking up the bittersweet shells,we couldn’t believe it.They were just laying in the sand.Yup we picked up everyone we saw and I shared them w my family.loved the video
I think those bittersweet shells on the east coast are like the cross barred venus clam shells we have here - they are just everywhere most of the time so no one barely picks them up! I'm with you - I love those little bittersweets! And I was blessed with an almost empty beach. My favorite!
Very beautiful finds!!!
Thank you!
Beautiful
Learned so much and really enjoyed it 🏖️🐚🤗❤️
Haven't ever seen these kinds of shells, so pretty
Love from Tennessee
Yes my Tennessee friend, Florida has the best shells in the US (in my humble opinion). I love sharing all the things I'm learning as I go beachcombing! Thank you so much for watching!
You'll have to go back sometime!! Love all your videos
I definitely will!
Love those shells
What a wonderful road trip, thanks so much for taking us along! Such fun and unique finds on the east coast, I see another road trip in your future..❤️🐚
You are not wrong! I would love to see what this beach is like after a storm!
Well it looks like you’ve got your chance with Elsa coming at us! Be safe and happy shelling…🐚❤️
You were in my neck of the woods; I live a couple towns south of North Palm. Now I have a great reason to visit JDM Park. Love your videos, by the way; so soothing to listen to and watch. Thank you!
You are so very welcome! I loved JDM Park but man it was a workout getting to the beach and then walking in that super soft sand. Way better than the gym though!
the shells there are very colorful and textured there. interesting. i hope you and yours have a great Independence Day! thanks for posting for us! take care!
The shells are so different on the East Coast. Poor critters have a harder life over there - LOL! Thanks so much for coming along with me on my beach walk!
Another great video, thanks I sure am learning a lot.
Thanks for watching!
You found some great shells. I'm on the east coast. I have a ton of turkey wings along with the imposters as you call them and love love love those thorny oyster shells. I have quite a few of them. Have a couple od scotch bonnets myself.. Love them! I try to find some of the shells I found but can't find what they are. Mystery shells. Stay safe with Elsa!! Most likely you'll find some great storm shells next week.
I was hoping to find scotch bonnets and to find a few of them was just awesome. So worth the trip. The colors of those thorny oysters are amazing! I'm hoping to find some goodies on the beach next week from the storm too. Fingers crossed!
I am SOOOO glad that you made the hop over to the FL east coast! Beautiful Hawk Wing Conch skeleton at 15:50!
What amazing treasures await - such a great location! ;)
I was hoping for big ol' shell piles but I didn't leave disappointed. Those east coast beaches really make you work for those shells!
So funny, it was watching your video that got me to get out a couple weeks ago and I had the best day I’ve ever had and I live here!! 🤣 I was really grateful for your video. 😃
@@lauram5195 That’s awesome!! I’m glad I could help inspire you! 🐚
That was so much fun! I thought for sure after your comment last week about traveling that you were headed up to Honeymoon for those chestnut turbans! This was a nice surprise and great shells! The lion paws and scotch bonnets, on my wish list still! I want to buy one of them from you!
Once I've found a few more I might be willing to part with some but they are still quite rare for me. Give me some time and hopefully I'll amass a bit of a better collection of them :)
I loved your video about cleaning up shells. Would love to see how some of these you said you would clean end up looking.
I'm headed here this weekend and I'm crossing my fingers for Bonnets. Anything. LOL
Oh good shelling luck to you! 🐚
I’ll be in Sanibel in 2 weeks!!!! Yay!! Can’t wait to go shelling!!
Oh yay! I hope you find lots of goodies while you're here! Safe travels!
I love your shells!
Thank you! I have a ton of fun adding them to my collection!
I can't believe you found all those Scotch Bonnets! and cool coral!
I know me too! I was hoping my travels were worth it and it really was! I would have been happy with just one scotch bonnet but to find several was so awesome! Thanks so much for watching!
6 hours, wow but what a neat haul! Those are gorgeous!
The ride was a bit brutal, but the experience was amazing!
Oh, the beautiful shells..the bittersweet..so colorful…a place I’d love to go..thnx for taking us…I always look forward to your Sunday trips and a Happy 4th to you all..finding a lions paw is a bucket list and a bonnet..I’ve heard u can find those in the area u were at. 🌴 Have a good week
It's crazy that in one trip I can find both lion's paws AND scotch bonnets on the East Coast. Go figure! Those a truly hard to find (for me anyway) over here in SWFL. It was truly worth the trip! Thanks for coming along Janet! xoxo
Four minutes in I'm picking my jaw up off the floor at the 3rd scotch bonnet!!! Woohoo! A few minutes later you pick up #4... (me) "Get. Out." And, #5... I'm just rollling my eyes in disbelief! So awesome! The colors on the bittersweets and the thorny oysters was really beautiful. Loved the false limpet - another awesome find! The pieces of the cowrie and queen helmet have beautiful color/patterns. The mystery shells, lion's paw and chestnut (?name?) are great finds! What a shell-tastic trip! With Elsa coming, maybe she will bring you a horse conch. I found a horse conch in 2006 during tropical storm Alberto. We were there for vacation and I shelled like a crazy person in between bands of rain (and sometimes during rain) but it was the best shelling I've ever had to this day. Thanks for taking us along on this trip.
It was such a great shelling trip for me and so worth the drive! I am currently trying to plan when I'm going to go out and shell when Elsa swings by. I might attempt to go between rain showers too! It's been so slow over here lately I'd be happy to see a bunch of FFC's! Thanks so much for coming along with me on my East Coast trip!
Happy 4th!!! OMG your on my beach! So much fun! We have a yearly membership to this state park. I had one of my best shelling days there just about two weeks ago. I actually scored a large lions paw but it was broken in two but I took the pieces and glued it together. 🤣 I’m so glad you got the scotch bonnets. The day I went out there recently and had a fantastic day and I walked so far, the sand being so soft, I barely made it back and couldn’t walk the next day. So glad you came to visit!!! I’m looking at dates to get over to the west coast for a day of shelling after Elsa passes through. 🤗🐚🐚🐚🐚
That sand is crazy soft and it's definitely harder to walk in the water and close to the water. Nothing like it is over here! I was definitely rewarded for my efforts though. And I had the place almost to myself! I hope Elsa brings you goodies! I'm hoping for some good luck over here too!
You have such a soothing voice. These vlogs are sooooo relaxing. Live in upstate NY no where near any beach. So calming to me, it is like Iam there. Thanks so much, will keep watching. Addictive now.
Glad you like them! You are welcome to come along with me anytime you need to get to the beach!
Happy 4th to ya, great shells!
Happy 4th to you too! The shells I found were AWESOME!
Great shelling. Bonnets are on my bucket list, as well as lion paws.
I had a fantastic day and managed to find quite a few great shells! Thanks so much for coming along!
What a wonderful haul of shells. All the colors are amazing.
I'm hoping we get some shell piles out at blind pass.
I'll be out there as soon as it is safe.. Maybe a bit before.. lol
Maybe I'll see you there! LOL! Be safe out there!
Oh So funny….shells all ready made for necklaces…that all I ever thought when I was younger and for many more years I guess I just never thought how exactly those holes became in them …and YES we made “surfy” necklaces too…ha ha . But after watching all of your videos I do know it’s due to other critters burrowing into them for foodies time.
I am an aquarist, bred several species of cool fish. I’ve have kept and bred Magenta, Ivory, Chocolate, Jade n Gold Mystery Snails. I have pink and leopard ramshorns snails which are common but my also have cool unusual Yellow Spotted Rabbit snails . I can’t believe after 1 year of not producing any babies, I’ve just discovered 3 baby Rabbit Snails in 2 weeks. YAY !
Thru having snails I know all about the breeding and operculum etc. When Mystery snails lay clutches of eggs BOY OH BOY there’s hundreds hatching. At one time I had a clutch laid every few days with one couch producing 348 babies. Yes, I sat n counted the weeny bubbas lol. Have now either sold or given my mystery snails away but had one last chocolate one who’d escaped out of tank 3 times only to be found on the carpet many days later. Infact one time it was 10 days after going missing I found on the floor, thinking it’s dead I still placed it in a container of water then checked an hour later only to find it out n about very alive. A miracle Mr Chocolate he was. He’s now been adopted by a friend and I only have pink ramshorns and my awesome Rabbit snails. Luckily freshwater snails like these don’t attack each other lol….I think the only ones who do are Assassin snails…them are nasty snail killing machines….
See ya on your next adventure Sharmon xxx
How absolutely fascinating! I had a fresh water tank with fish for many years and I so badly would like a salt water tank to keep a few snail pets. That would be SO cool! Some of the land snails have the most beautiful shells I've ever seen. There is an apple land snail down here too and I collect those shells as well. It's amazing how long those creatures can tolerate being away from water. I'm so jealous! My cats are cool and all but I'd love to have some pet snails!
Scotch bonnets! So cool
It was epic for me!
