You use Basmati rice for bisibele bath and kichdi etc. My opinion is Sona masuri or our ponni rice better suited.

Bisi bele bhat recipe is totally different than what we Karnataka people make.
Bisi is hot
Bele is toor dal
And u haven't even used at all.
Lots of veggies r added like carrot ,beans,etc....
Along with Tamrind pulp ,gud is added to balance.
Bisi bele bhat masala is used.
Khichidi rice is used
Ratio is 1:1

It's a shame chef, if you use Sambar madala Powder how will you make bise bale Bhat..you will make only Sambar rice. There a huge difference between sambar rice and what your trying to make.
We South Indians don't use mirchi powder...sorry once again...
Elaichi for masala not correct....
