After only 4 Nightwish's songs, you are already emotionally attached to them, like all of us. Know that you were not the only one with tears in our eyes.
In my opinion, they transmit a strong wave of optimistic energy, reflected back by the crowd (fact confirmed by Floor in an interview, as I remember) - so it's a positive feedback loop, with an amplifying effect. I find it amazing that we all feel this even in a recorded broadcast years later through computer screens, which means that the atmosphere of the concert was really electrifying.
Personally, both me and many of us have found emotional support in difficult times of our lives listening to Nightwish music. Considering that apparently this is happening to you too, I predict that you will become a fan of the band in a very short time.
Gabriel, you magnificent human being! Thank you for being here and bringing the Army behind you. It is far to late for me my friend. I am afraid that I am as addicted as they get currently. It is very hard not to continue on the journey until recording time! LOL. I truly truly appreciate all of the information and history that you have blessed me with about this amazing band. I have seen and felt the love from the Nightwish Army and it is beyond comforting. Thank you for everything you do. I have never met your predecessor unfortunately, but I know that she is very proud of the work you continue to do for Nightwish. May you and your family be blessed Gabriel. I don't know what I would do without you!

Thats why im a nightwish fan for more than 20 years and i still listen nightwish everyday , i can change the concerts or the albuns but i listen them everyday and i can't get bored , even my ringtones on cellphone are nightwish songs . I am certain that watching the Wacken concert from 2013 brings back this magical feeling, where we just want to be there, be children, and enjoy the music, the emotions, the positive energy. I don't think any other live video (from other band) gives me this kind of energy, and the crowd certainly contributes to this. This is like doping.

Nightwish seems to bring out every emotion there is. The brilliant writing of Tuomas and others. The force that they perform with and the glorious voice of Floor. Make it easy for those tears of joy to just come out. Music is emotion conceived as sound.
This song makes me think of the sweet innocence of childhood, where magic is possible. It's an important theme of Tuomas' writing - he loves Disney and admits to enjoying that whole imaginary world. Who really wants to be grown up hey lol? Feeling this song along with you. Big love :)
I think that is exactly what it is Suzanne. I don't do well emotionally with innocent things. Give me blood and guts and whatever else and I'm fine. Show me something innocent and it's over.

I have listened to this song at least a hundred times and I still get tears in my eyes, Floor and the boys are simply amazing.
The song and performance are both amazing but what really gets me is how incredibly happy everybody looks. This was possibly the best night of some of those people's lives. Pure joy immortalized in video. It's really something special.

These Nightwish reactions, it is the ones that bring people to tears which are the best reactions. And we are all glued to our screen looking for that shine in people's eyes. That's what we want to see and when we do we start crying too if we aren't already.
If you want another rollercoaster of emotions, you should watch 7 Days To The Wolves from the concert they did at Wembley Arena in 2015.

Nightwish was the first band I was interested in when I was a little kid. I have grown up with every new album which are like milestones in my life. Just like Tuomas' music writing evolved and matured over time so did I. I guess with my 21 years I am somewhat an adult now. What a crazy feeling. And Nightwish is still there, their music is still by my side. Helping me through hard times and amplifying my happiness. I feel so blessed to be able to have grown up with this music and how it shaped me. And every person who tears up to their songs makes me feel so connected to them. Because same! Since ever. And every time. Nightwish isn't a band. It's an experience. It's pure emotion - good and bad.
I hope you will find just as much joy in their music as I did in over 20 years.
Yeah dude, I love this song too. This group also brings me to tears at times from the shear brilliance of what they do. Tuomas's poetry, the band's musicianship and camaraderie, and Floor's empathetic channeling of Tuomas's lyrics with her exquisite voice. Unsurpassed and often moving.
HxC…I am a long time drummer. I have ALWAYS been extremely moved by music. I’m an older man now and the emotions flow a lot more freely. And that’s okay. Your reaction to this masterpiece is my favorite and I’ve watched it several times. I just recently accidentally discovered Nightwish and Floor. Her’s should be the first name anybody mentions when talking about the world’s great singers! Absolutely love her! Storytime was the song that hooked me on Nightwish! I cried too, first 100 times listening to this song. Her voice has that effect when mixed with Tuomas's lyrics. Nice reaction.

I've seen it a hundred times since this reaction. When I am listening for fun, I can make it through it. When I am listening to remember, it KILLS me still!

Loved the reaction! Emotions is great! I got emotional a lot of times, I think it’s just most natural reaction to the songs like this. I think we get this effect because Tuomas very very honest in his songs and everybody could feel this pure and innocent energy. He writes music not for fame or profits, he writes from his heart really.

I am a 65 y old Dutch bloke and have seen lots of social and mental misery in my working career (social psychiatry).
Thought I could handle it all, never lost the way, stood hard and firm.
Nightwish however gets me teared up on a regular basis.

Loved your reaction :) This is one of my favorite performances! This song in particular, idk it just pulls on something so nostalgic that goes beyond just mentioning Peter Pan. Our affinity for storytelling is one of our most redeeming features, and sometimes I think we forget how much that really means. Getting distracted with how quickly the world moves now, having to always be up to date on so many things, I think we forget about these feelings that connect us through the way we share stories. That's what this song does for me at least. It's also heart-warming to see how happy the whole band is during this performance! Can't wait to see your next reaction.

It's perfectly normal to feel something emotionally so pure and good when listening to Nightwish. They have a few varied songs and you will find them out the more you venture down the rabbit hole, and through their discography. I know you're probably a few songs away yet from the *BIG* one, but write down The Greatest Show on Earth Live @ Tampere (this version is best) when you feel you've seen enough Nightwish songs. I say a few songs away, as you've barely scratched the surface, but a few (if they haven't been recommended already) are 7 days to the Wolves Live @ Wembley 2015, Alpenglow @ Wembley 2015, While your Lips Are Still Red (studio version) The Islander (either studio version or Live @ Tampere is good)

It took awhile, but I figured out that the thing pushing tears into my eyes is pure joy. It's something I have felt so rarely I didn't recognize it at first, but I know now that I feel it with these songs. I suspect that's what is affecting you as well.
