- My Fear & Hunger Full Playthrough with No Commentary.
For this trip through the dungeons of Fear and Hunger, I play as Cahara the Mercenary with Dash, Lock Picking, and Escape Plan. I recruit Le'garde within the first 30 minutes along with D'arce the Knight and the Girl character. I also make a point to get Miasma, Eastern Sword, and Blue Sin to have a powerful party. This allows me to defeat almost all of the bosses in the game including the Crow Mauler, the Tormented One, the Skin Granny, and the God of Fear & Hunger. I also have most of the interactions in the game including Pocketcat, the Hall of the New Gods, and the treasure chests with Isayah.
I was also extremely lucky on this playthrough and had the rare event occur where the Moonless Guards invade the Cavedweller Village.

@@smile-pm1mtit was infected and I didn’t have a green herb to heal it, and if you leave the screen 4-5 times, the character will die so I didn’t want to risk it😅but I think I did find a green herb shortly after, such is fear and hunger haha

I do have one complaint... Nobody told me it had RANDOM GENERATED MAPS! As someone who can't navigate for SHIT, I will get so goddamn lost.

@@rhysb7228 thats the reason why im here lol i got stuck in the prison - level 2 part didnt know what i was doing wrong, either i got a bad seed which i read its unlikely or im too blind to see an entrance to keep going so i had to restart the game 😂

What up, i commented a while ago about you doing a playthrough and someone replied today about you doing one lol. I must have missed when you released this. I enjoyed your lore videos and i appreciate no commentary playthroughs, though i hope you have a commentaried playthrough so you can explain lore here and there while playing so it puts it all together. Cant wait to finish watching and i cant wait for when you do Fear and Hunger 2, the lore videos on those have me curious as to how this world progresses in time. Like how do we go from medieval to an almost modern era like existence, and how does life work in this world. It seens like a terrfying existence.

One thing bugs me to no end in this game.
After such self-sacrifice, why Cahara had to die by the girl/F&H hands? Why this god would kill her seemingly guardian? Or was it because Cahara couldn't flee the god of depth's bowels?
Also, I assume Le'garde and D'arce died the same way? Le'garde didn't mind going there, despite his insistence in staying in the dungeon in order to ascend?
Maybe that was an oversight, Idk.
The world of fear and hunger is purposely unsatisfying, unfair, and cruel, unfortunately.

why deos character have to smoke to reduce fear and stuff? I dont see them afraid. And why D'arce have to cut off her arm? Why do you need to cut off the arm of the enemy, to make them deal less damage to our party? what will happen if the party member's mind meter empty? Why wouldn't you read all the books in your inventory?
The dungeon is called the Dungeon of Fear and Hunger and its aura causes an unnatural hunger on the characters as well as drains their sanity which is why you need to replenish their mind meter, and if it gets empty, they can leave your party or will get a fear of everything causing them to take more damage and do less damage to enemies. She had to cut her arm off cause it was infected which will eventually lead to death. I didn't read all of the books cause it takes a while and messes up the flow of the stream, but you can find all the book contents on the wiki.

Can someone explain to me why he cut D’arce arm off!?…I’m confused
It was infected and I didn’t have a green herb item, and if infection is untreated after you enter a few areas, it will kill the character, so I had to cut it off to keep her alive :)
This game is pretty cool. Also i instantly recognize rpg maker. I played around with it a lot as a kid.
Im confused so i have no idea what this game is about im new to it but i wanted to know the story but i keep seeing so many different videos like 16 hour long videos i just want the main story and stuff is this the main story? I haven't watched the video yet but wasn't sure which video to watch for the full game and story i assume theres lots of different endings because theres lots of different videos and stuff
what does soulstone and rest & sleep does?
Soulstones allow you to use new skills or you can use them to get better accessories. Rest and sleep allows you to save your game

Why make D’arce cut off her arm, especially so early? Is there something I’m missing?

Same. This rabbit hole is one of the creepiest ones out there. Moonscorching happens in the sequel and it's caused by the moon god. Moonscorched morph into the worst version of themselves, an abomination with the shape of their fear, insecurities and guilt
I've wanted to get into this game for the lore, atmosphere and cool monster designs, but I have to say, the dialogue comes off as immature at times in a way that breaks immersion, so much of the gameplay is just checking boxes for random item finds, and in general the horror is oversaturated (lacks restraint) such that it feels like an edgy 15 year old's understanding of scary and gritty. Also like 3 typos/mispellings in the opening text sequence is not a great sign. Only an hour into this video (tho not my first exposure to this game) so maybe it becomes more tasteful and sophisticated by the end.
I definitely like what they're going for, and I'm currently designing a ttrpg system and megadungeon in a similar vein. I guess there's stuff I can learn from it, both for positive inspiration and what not to do.

It's hard to believe that this is all made in rpgmaker...
It's pretty amazing, especially with the sequel, it has so many moving parts and unique interactions depending on what you do.
Man I wish this was on console and I do know you don’t need a rocket science computer to run this but I don’t have a pc at all anymore sadly and I think it’s on android but of course I have an iPhone lol I’m considering just getting a shitty cheap laptop just to play this lol
