  • TNAI Nagaland branch celebrates golden jubilee
    Kohima, June 13: The Trained Nurses’ Association of India (TNAI) Nagaland Branch celebrated its Golden Jubilee (1974-2024) under the theme: “Honoring the glorious past, celebrating the golden present and envisioning the promising future” on June 13 at Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima.
    V. Kezo, IRS, Commissioner & Secretary, Health & Family Welfare graced the celebration as the special guest.
    He extended best wishes to TNAI Nagaland for attaining 50 glorious years.
    He commended their invaluable service contributions toward humanity.
    Healthcares is a key focus area in the country, he said.
    Nursing service to humanity is a noble job as it provides care and support to patients, he said.
    He said Nurses are very special people who assist with the healing process by establishing an intense intimacy with the patient that builds trust and creates a safe environment for healing.
    Cheryl Susan Tada, National Vice President, TNAI, N.E. Region and President of NIDA Dr Bernard Amer President NIDA greeted the nursing fraternity.
    She stressed on the need to have a Directorate of Nursing in the northeast region.
    Reminiscing Memories of Nursing was shared by Shetoni Sema, Rtd Deputy Director Nursing
    Prof. A. Purnungla Aier, Nursing Superintendent, CIHSR talked on jubilee theme.
    The programme was compere by Prof. Khumjanbeni Murry, Joint Secretary TNAI, Nagaland branch with Velulü Vasa, Staff Nurse, District hospital Phek as pianist.
    Snippets of jubilee was shared by souvenir committee convenor R. Ayangla.
    TNAI Mokokchung unit performed a prelude while vote of thanks was proposed by Vesalu Rose, convenor TNAI Nagaland Golden Jubilee Planning Committee.
    Invocation prayer was pronounced by Rev. Dr. Kevichalie Metha, Pastor of Peraciezie Baptist Church while S Tiakala Longkumer, President TNAI, Nagaland Branch delivered the welcome address. Obituary prayer was led by Temsusenla Aier, Vice Principal, SON, IMDH, Mokokchung.
    Felicitation of Nurses was led by Tiamenla Jamir, Secretary, TNAI Nagaland branch. A special choreography was performed by the School of Nursing, NHAK while Jubilee Choir, Dimapur Unit presented a special song “Cry Out and Shout.”
    A special prayer for Nurse and benediction prayer was pronounced by Mhonchumo S. Lotha, Vice President, Kohima Baptist Pastors Fellowship.
