These IMC headset are made for 1998 to present Harley-Davidson motorcycles equipped with a 7-pin DIN communications port. You can use the headsets for both rider and passenger. There are three models to choose from that cover 1/2 helmet, no helmet, full face, modular, or 3/4 helmets!
We tested many headsets out there on the market and we chose the IMC to bring to the Official Law Abiding Biker Store. It was the only headset built tough enough that we'd recommend to bikers out there. Don't pay for the Harley-Davidson brand 7-pin headset when the IMC is built as well and works as well and is a fraction of the cost.
When you get your IMC headset you'll quickly see and feel the quality and thickness of the cords. The headset is very robust and the speakers sound great even at freeway speeds. I love the coiled cord as it takes some of the strain off your 7-pin communications port and wires. Plus, it gives you more freedom to move around.
We loved the fact that the IMC headsets have a two-year manufacturers warranty! Yes, IMC stands by their products and that meant a lot to us when testing headsets.
Be Careful: (Cheap Gaming Headsets Converted to 7-pin)
There are many very cheap 7-pin headsets on Amazon, eBay, and elsewhere. Yes, they are very cheap to buy and you'll get what you pay for. They are nothing more than cheap video gaming headsets converted to a 7-pin. They have short cords and no "coiled cord", which puts much strain on the wires and on your 7-pin plug. Especially, if you forget to unplug before dismounting your bike and pull on the 7-pin plug. These cheap headsets do not sound good compared to the IMC. These gaming headsets simply were never designed or built to withstand the rigors of a Harley rider over time and in the elements. If you put one of these cheap converted gaming headsets next to the IMC you'd chuckle at their cheap build.

I just installed one in an HJC full face helmet along with your other install video... I hope these are better than the Harley units because that thing never worked for me. lol

Hey Brother, just upgrading from my ‘03 FLSTFI with a 2017 FLHTKL. Have only had it 5 days and am shopping a wired system as the bike already has a 7 pin system. Is the IMC system still strong and recommended worthy and any shops to find them? AWESOME videos, for sure!

I get my IMC headset for my 2020 Ultra limited but carplay can’t connect, maybe i need the original HD headset?, thanks
For People still using Wired Headsets and seeking iMC headset reviews. The iMC HS-H130P which I tried are not that great and I regret spending money on testing them. They work fine under 50mph. Over 60 the mics do not filter enough noise and are pretty much pointless as intercoms. (I'm using top-tier modular helmets.) I attempted contacting iMC regarding setup/adjustment but no response.
I have reinstalled my H D wired headsets. They mount/clip outside instead helmet of inside, they are a big clunky, and the cable connect to helmet is finicky. However they work better than the iMC for both speaker sound and for filtering microphone noise.
Can you mix this headset with the standard HD headset? I purchased an IMC headset from your store, connected it to my wife's helmet while I retained the stock HD headset. IC works well, was able to turn the VOX adjustment down a bunch (from the stock HD headset), however, although she hears me fine, her voice is very crackly and hard to understand at speed (55+). Slow speed (up to 45) our communication is perfect. Using on a 2019 HD FLHTK, Sedici modular helmets.
How do I change the rider port? The microphone footrest work.
The IMC headset is no longer available from your site. Was there a problem with headset that caused you to drop the product? I have a 2014 ultra limited.
well here I was hoping to find better. Same as the Harley headset?? MY HARLEY HEADSET SUX!!! So are these better or the same?

I'm interested in picking up one of these headsets. I currently wear a half helmet and am wondering how well this works while cruising at freeway speeds. Obviously i'm assuming not as well as if i were wearing a full face helmet, but is it good enough to be able to make/receive phone calls on without annoying the person on the other end with the wind blowing?
Also, using the most recent update 1.20.3 and an IPhone, are you able to send out text messages via the voice command using this headset? I didn't see anything about it in the tutorial video and am wondering if this is an actual option.
Either way thanks for all you do with keeping us riders and DIYers informed on how to maintain our bikes and with the best options out there.

Yes, freeway speeds and you can talk. It will sound like you're on a motorcycle to the person on the other end. With Siri activated, you could tell her to "text" a person and speak a message. It will vary on results, as Siri varies from user to user.

How can you pair up with your phone to make a phone call?
The phone pairs to your boom box. The Freewire allows you to make a wireless connection from the boom box to your wireless communication device (such as Sena).

Where does the passenger’s plugin at???
Only the full touring come with a 7 pin connection for the passenger.
I have a 2015 road glide special. I have the seven pin for myself, but there is a connection coming from under the passenger seat but it’s not seven pin.
