George is my favorite character in the first movie and they did him so dirty in the sequel. They should have either done whatever they had to to have Crispin in the movie or just not include his character instead of doing what they did. They suffered the consequences though with that lawsuit and I'm glad Crispin got his money and helped get that law made!
There’s no speculation, it’s well documented he asked for more money than they were willing to pay him, given he was kinda the 3rd lead costar in the first movie, he wanted what he deserved, they said no, cut his larger role out of the second script, and replaced his character with the situation you’re talking about, he sued, and he won. Crispín was crazy, controlling, and did kinda want a little bit too much, I won’t doubt that, but he did carry a lot of the charm of the first movie, and if he was gonna be a larger part of the second one, I’m sure he would’ve injected his charm into that too, that counts, that’s what he deserved to be paid for.

Crispin is an absolute madman, he wanted to control everything about the movie and he creeped alot of people out between scenes.
He was too busy looking for the corkscrew to show up for the sequel in question.
